Looks better than it actually

What is your overall opinion of this product?
I bought this as a beginner bass guitar after a lot of research. Out of the box it sounded good, but sounded even better after I put coated strings on. I also equipped it with Dunlop guitar locks. With the black strings, it looks wicked. After playing it for a while the inner nut on the 1/4" cable jack keeps loosening up and today it loosened and one of the wires broke off the cable jack.Good-looking guitar, but poor quality.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
It's pretty bad when a guitar manufacturer can't even put a lockwasher on a cable jack. I love the looks of the guitar, and the feel is really nice. Too bad the quality doesn't match the looks. Cheap wiring and skimping on hardware. This is the first and last Kramer I'll ever buy.
Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features?
I expected a bit more from the humbuckers.
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Action was okay, and the neck was easy to work with (I have impinged nerves in my elbow and wrist so a thick or improperly-radiused neck just doesn't work for me.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
deep, rustic tone. picups are hot and thin.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
I bought a $200 guitar and that's what I got. It sounds better than the old used Karera I was playing, but the old Karera doesn't have cable jacks get loose and snap wires. Overall, the old used guitar is better than this one because it keeps playing.
How was the action out of the box?
easy and smooth action out of the box
