Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Surprisingly well made!
How has it stood up over time?
Don't know yet. Only had it for 2 wks.
Your general opinion of this product.
Great bang for the buck! Word to the wise for novices: The uke is a lot of fun and easy to play, however, don't let tuning it frustrate you! New nylon strings have a huge stretch factor and will take 24-48 hrs to settle in.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Feels fine. Easy to relative tune once you start the A string with a tuning fork.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone is very rich and mellow. The interior bracing is pretty nice near the sound hole but I'm still going to do a little extra "voicing".
How did the stain or paint job look?
A little bit raw, but when I restring it, I'll be lightly sanding with super fine grit paper and then rub in a coat of tung oil. BTW: I know what I'm doing. This will make that beautiful koa wood pop!
How was the action out of the box?
Perfect set-up! Neck is straight as an arrow!
