The sound is crisp and clear.It has a beautiful tone;not at all tinny or flat.The solid koa is gorgeous. the finish is high gloss which may be a turn off for some but I really like it.it suits this uke just fine. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I love the feel of this ukelele.It feels substantial.Not at all flimsy. The neck is straight.No problem with the fretting.Strings are aquilla nylgut and just right. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Love the tone.I couldn't believe how rich and clear it was. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is high gloss.The grain of the solid koa wood is just beautiful.This uke is prettier in person. Action How was the action out of the box? I am a novice so I don't know if I can comment on action.I have played guitar though.So I have to say that I can't detect any problem whatsoever with playability.In fact,it's hard to put down.
