It surely does the job!!
Quality:
The product is made of a hard rubber like material. I've had my Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue Amp sitting on it for a week and it hasn't buckled or shown any signs of weight on it.
Reliability:
I've had about a week. It's held up very well. I had my amp sitting on it 24/7 at home for a week. It showed no signs of breaking down at all. I gigged with it last night and was impressed at how it improved my sound and how stable my amp was sitting on it.
Overall:
Fantastic idea! It sure beats lugging a metal amp stand around. I'm all for simplicity and fewer trips from my vehicle into the gig. I'm very picky on buying a product that will hold up over time. I think the Ampwedge will hold up for years to come.
Playability and Feel:
I love the fact that the Ampwedge is very compact, lightweight, and incredibly easy to use. It's pretty simple. Place it on the floor, place your amp on it at the angle you'd prefer, and leave it! It sure beats the metal amp stand I had prior!!!
Tone:
By placing my amp on the floor on the Ampwedge, my bass response has increased dramatically! The coupling of the amp with the floor really does make a difference. After I played a gig last night, the other guitarist and a number of regulars stated how much more they could hear by guitar sound through the system and how much more punch my sound had going through the rest of the mix!
Finish:
Flat black. Blends well with the stage.
