General Your general opinion of this product. I was looking for a small tube amp that could keep up with drummer and would spare my back (my AC15 was killing me). I didn't want a Blues Junior as we already have one in the band. This little guy fit the bill and I had money left over after selling my Vox. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? So far so good; I'm rehearsing with this amp every couple of weeks. No standby switch - might be hard on the tubes over time. Build quality of the cabinet is so-so - about what I would expect at the price point. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is darker, less chimey that the AC15, but quite pleasant. I think I like the overdriven sound better. The stock speaker is the weak point - it's inefficient (good for practice at home but made cutting through with the full band a chore) and a bit lifeless. I replaced the stock Celestion with an Emminence Private Jack - much louder and clearer. The amp really jumps now. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've had this amp for about 9 months. So far so good.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It looks to be well made, as best I can tell. All the details like the handle, the knobs, the tubes, and the screws point to good manufacturing. But I didn't open it up. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Haven't owned it for long, so I don't know. General Your general opinion of this product. I really wanted the sound of a tube amp in a small package which I could mic and then send through house speakers. But I also wanted an effects loop. Not easy to find both in one amp, but this little guy does it. I'm really glad I found it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This is a weird thing to say, but the handle is really comfortable. Combine that with how light it is, and I actually like to pick this amp up. Weird. My only complaint about the whole amp is that the order of the knobs is seemingly random. When I want to change something, I have to hunt for the knob I want because they didn't stick with the order every other amp uses, so my head can't seem to grasp which knob is which. I love, on the other hand, the feel of the knobs. It seems like with a lot of amps, a majority of the volume increase is between 2 and 3 and 4-10 make no difference. But the knobs feel very linear on this amp. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Bluesy, with good bark. I think it's all the tube tone of a big tube amp. But you can crank it without any concern for volume, so in most situations you can get better tone with this guy. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Attention to detail is great, but I don't care for the signature trapezoidal shape of the front grille. A rectangle would have done it for me. But I didn't buy it for the front grille.
Great little amp!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? UK tone, Chinese cousins. Everything seems sturdy and in working order, too soon to tell. I've heard the light indicating the amps on can go up. Has not happened to me yet. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Again, to soon to tell. It appears well constructed and I have faith. General Your general opinion of this product. I was happy oveall, I wanted something affordable with decent tube tone. Something for Blues, Rock and easy to get around. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? N/A Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone knob and three band eq give you a decent control over the brightness(or harshness) of the amp. It sounds good, I use a Les Paul Special with p-100s. I like some bite, a regular Les Paul pick-up would shine with this amp as well. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Beautiful design, encourages you to play it when it's in the corner looking all sleek and sexy. Action How was the action out of the box? N/a
