Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I've been playing this amp on and off since it was first released in the 90's. Very high quality build, with chassis mounted sockets and toroidal power transformer.
How has it stood up over time?
Extremely reliable. I've literally played hundreds of gigs with it and never had a single issue, other than regular maintenance on the tubes.
Your general opinion of this product.
One of the most underrated and best sounding amps out there. It's a single channel amp but very versatile and dynamic, you can go from clean to super heavy just with your guitar's volume pot. That's the real sign of a great amp
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
it's an amp. But it sounds and feel great. Very simple layout makes it easy to get any sound you want.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Very easy to dial any tone you want, use the factory settings as a starting point and customize it to your rig and playing style. The amp tends to be a bit bright but that can be easily remedied with the tone controls, use your ears to find the best spots for your sound.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Fit and finish is great, my amp is a '96 model and still looks brand new.
How was the action out of the box?
n/a it's an amp
