Have a 700 Acoustic and thought that this would allow me to utilize the new version of Workbench. It did not. It does interface faster that the old adapter, but still only works with older version of software, could have saved $100 bucks.

I picked up a used Variax 300 on the cheap, not realizing that my Line 6 Pod HD500X was too new to work with the older version of the Workbench software (version 1.75) that could edit settings on the Variax. This interface was a life saver (the alternative was to spend way more on an older used POD). This unit allowed me to dig in and set up custom tunings like a champ.

Used it on a Variax 600. It does not look as advertised. It's just a plastic black box with an RJ-45 port on one side and a USB-A on the other. It also came with a very unusual RJ-45 cable, but it still worked. It came with no software, which is fine because you can just download the latest version from the Line6 website.
