The tube section gives this amp a nice warm sound. it is a good replacement for my '88 Carvin XV100 212 which recently passed away. I have not found a tone I cannot reproduce with a bit of tweaking.

Owned it a little over a month - No worries.
Overall:
I got a great deal on this amp just before the MKII was released. Fantastic value. Does all I need it to do and tons more.

I have been playing since 1980 and this equals or tops any 212 combo I have played with the possible exception of an original twin reverb. You can't beat the versatility.
