As with all Baggs gear its great.
Sound:
The tone of the iBeam by itself is nice. It's clean no piezo quack. It sounds like your guitar. By itself it can sound a bit boxy when strummed hard. Add the M1 and it sings. The M1 gives you back the definition and attack along with the body sound of the iBeam, and it sounds like more like a mic'd up guitar. Perfect for direct recording. If you live in a place where the acoustic environment is less then perfect the iBeam/M1 combo is just the item. Match that up with the L.R. Baggs Para/DI and your in business.
Reliability:
Just had the whole system installed so I can't say. But I've had my M1 for a couple of years now and put it in and out of several guitars and never had a problem.
Overall:
This is the coolest most amazing pickup in the world. I love this thing. I had mine wired in with the L.R. Baggs iMix with an L.R. Baggs M1 (also purchased here at AMS) the directions for doing this are in the box. The two together are the ticket.
Playability and Feel:
It makes me want to play and record more often.
Tone:
