I agree with the fellow drum heads!??
This drum is beautiful and sounds as good!
Just knowing this is piece of recording history also is the best part.
Sounded great out of the box or tune it the way you like and it floor you! Holy shit!
Also I just ordered this a few days ago and it came so fast and the customer service was awesome after a credit card snafu they still held my product and took care of order quickly!

This is the snare to have, & the only one you need ! Ludwig LM402 Supraphonic 14" x 6.5" The most recorded snare drum in history & the choice of John Bonham, need I say more ? If you don't have the money up front, just do one of their many payment plans & put a smile on your face now !!!

If you dont own 1 of these snares in your lineup I suggest you dont hesitate to buy 1 well worth the price and it has alot of history under its belt now I know why

Ludwig snare drum are definitely the best! Any way you tune this drum it sounds amazingly great, I would recommend this snare to any drummer playing any style music, I can't say enough good things about it, buy one you won't regret it.

The product description says its made from steel, but this drum is the special blend Ludwig uses and makes great drums. Sounds fantastic!
