Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I just recently purchased one of these speakers. I also have a Mackie HD1801 sub and together - they sound GREAT! My concern is after I did research I saw a few post stating that these speakers will break down on you very easily.. I'm hearing parts in songs that I didn't know existed. Such transparency is (until now) unheard of!

How dependable? we used 1530s for about 10 or 12 years before adding the 1531s. the basics... can't kill 'em, can't wear 'em out. they are absolute work horses. How playable do you consider this product to be? using the high pass out of the subs, or stand alone, it consistantly delivers absolute clarity even at high SPL. using Mono sends, having only 1 signal path makes life so easy. being powered has saved countless hours of cabling amps, etc. Sound How is the tone? crystal clear. have used them reinforcing sound for our local symphony (boosting woodwinds) and mixed old school punk (4 hour show) in the same weekend.
