I bought this mixer to go with my PC audio interface. It is small and sounds very good. The balanced outputs and inputs are nice to help reduce noise. Most mixers in this price range don't have balanced inputs and outputs, so that was a nice touch. The only negative I would say is there is no ON/OFF power switch which would be nice instead of having to plug and unplug the unit to use it. Other than that it is a very good mixer and great quality for the price.

My mix5 arrived on time and in great condition, it was well wrapped.
It's very easy to use and comes handy because I have extra channels for microphones and backup music player.
I had to buy cable adapters for my XLRs and everything is working and sounding fine.

I need a mixer for my live setup with backtracks and in ears. After traveling the country numerous times with a bit 16 track board and only using two inputs, I finally simplified my live rig and can’t recommend this mixer for it enough!

Love this little mixer. It serves my home needs perfectly. I set this up so we could practice our karaoke in the house and i love the simplicity it brings. I miss the effects my larger mixers have but i would buy this one again !

This mixer may be small in size, but don't let that fool you. Perfect size for someone to mix a mic with a guitar or a keyboard for solo gig, or add to your main mix in a larger set up.

I bought this unit so that I can listen to my laptop while I am playing my guitar through my Champion 20 that I recently purchased from AMS. I also use it to input my laptop audio out to tape input when I am screening Netflix. In the tape to phone mode the mids are slightly enhanced, so I can hear the ambient sound much better than just plugging my cans straight out from the laptop. For another $10.00, I would have gone for the eight channel mixer which is now on sale, but was not when I bought the MIX5.

I already own a Mackie 1402-VLZ; so when my wife asked me to set up a system that would allow her to play both her electric piano and mp3 player into headphones I bought this little Mackie MIX5. It works great and she really loves how clean the sound is! :-)

Honestly this is probably not much different from the Behringer board or a few others but I own several Mackie products and like the company. The mix 5 is great for learning music, I can plug my guitar, mic and an ipad in and listen thru earbuds. I am also using this live with my buds for my monitors. It works great!
