I was hoping getting this sub would provide the concert feeling bass I’m looking for, but I suppose I might need to double up or even beyond for that.
The Thump18s packs quite the punch however, does everything you need it to. I placed the order and it arrived a couple days later. Great service from AMS, no worries when purchasing they will take care of you.

This thing runs like a champ, so far. I honestly haven't run it longer than maybe 5 hours at high output, but it held up well. No overheating or any other issues. Works great for my personal at home djing needs. Could definitely fill up a small venue with bass decently. I have been using it paired with a pair of powered 15 inch full range pa tops. Sounds quite nice. I plan on buying a second one.

I purchased this to accompany my Fender Passport Venue 2, and I could not be happier with the purchase. It really brought the best out in the PA. This sub allows the PA to focus on the mids and highs while nicely taking care of the lows. It was probably overkill for what is mainly home use, but I also used it in a full band set up and it handled nicely! It is rather heavy as is expected and is recommended to use two people to move.

This thing rocks the block. Especially if hooked up to a mixer amp.- I haven't even turned it up all the way "yet"... heads up, it is a bit heavy to move around. I'm 270pds and work out. When the UPS guy delivered it he just pushed it off his truck and left it at my street. Luckily I have a camera and was able to come home right away and bring it in. Someone could have snagged it ??. Anyways IT'S HEAVY! GREAT SPEAKER!

I’ve been using 2 Mackie Thump 15 speakers for years in medium venues. Mostly for vocals. My band is getting booked at large outdoor venues and I needed something I could mic the entire band through. I chose two Mackie Thump 18 Subwoofers to use in tandem with the Thump 15s and it’s the perfect combination. Great sound, lots of power and incredible bottom end! I love them!

We purchased this to go with our Mackie Thump 15a’s. We do outdoor movies and DJ. We played Star Wars last week at a birthday party and this shook the ground in all the right spots. You could have swore you were on Exagal when the strike began. Whe we just use the main speakers I have to do a lot of fancy eq work to make them sound right for movies but with this sub it makes it all so much easier.

I have a Roland TD-20X drum set and it sounded great with my new QSC K12.2 speaker. But I needed some good tight low end bass. I’m so glad I got this sub. It shakes my entire house but sounds so clean with my kick drum it’s insane. You definitely won’t regret buying this bad boy. Has a ton of settings to perfectly match the QSC. And the QSC’s settings allow you to tune the sub directly. Best purchase I’ve ever made.

I love the 18’s! They have great sound and can really fill up a room. I’ve seen these newly designed 18 inch mackies and I am pleased with them. I like how how they have nice handles built on. The sound is amazing!!!! I strongly recommend these and they are great for the price. I am very happy with my purchase. I like the light that shows in the front, not too bright not too dim.Very big thumps! They handle themselves and they haven’t gotten hot in me yet. Excellent shipping. Right on time!

I have an EV 18" 1000 watt active sub with two EV 1000 watt 12" loud speakers. I used them on one side of a stage setting. I placed the 1200 watt 18" Mackie Thump Sub along with the two 1200 watt Mackie Thump active Loud speakers on the other side of the stage and the EV 1000 watt sub kicked the (You know what) out of the Mackie 1200 watt sub. Placing the EV Sub at Unity Gain (zero db) and cranking the Mackie sub up 100%, I could barely feel the Mackie sub. I increased the EV sub up 5 db and didn't know the Mackie sub was even in the room.

I bought 2 of these subs but at some gigs os 100 people I finf myself using one because its enough. 600RMS is what they really are and its enough for me. They do punch and have good bass. I use 2 for a crowd of 700 at my church and they do the hob just great. You can see them in youtube. Eagles nest ministry event

I can control my sytem output. The DJs I had would blow my speakers using the amp through the PA system. Now I don't have that problem with powered speakers. I was replacing speakers and amps every 6 months. I'm happy now! Great buy!

I've been using 2 Mackie Thump 15" for gig sizes of 100-200 for a 4 piece blues/rock band for about a year. Brought this sub in to boost the bass frequencies for an outdoor show in a large area and it performed wonderfully. Combined with it's Thump mains, the system provided full clear "well rounded" bass, clean mid-range and smooth highs, and power for just about any kind of music. Highly recommend this setup. For less than $1500 for all 3 Thump (approx $700 for the 15" mains, $700 for sub), it's a great and economical solution without breaking the band budget. The setup performs much better than the pricing factors would indicate. Add in a couple of good monitors on the stage and you've got a complete 5 speaker PA that will handle it all very well, and leave you some $$ for other gear.

I bought this to replace my old Thump powered sub. This is a bigger cabinet all-round, and it is a wave-guide (don't know what order). I thought I would have to do some EQ and other balancing to make the 18s fit into my setup, but it worked very well with little adjustment. It integrates better at low and medium volumes than my old Thump 18, it has better defined bass, it excels at higher volumes, is ruggedly built, and fits my purpose excellently. My listening levels range from 50 dBC to 110 dBC at my listening position.

So I'm a resident DJ at a large club in the southeast. I usually open for the bands, play break music, and then finish out the night when the band is done. I purchased this so i could be completely independant of the house system, and OMG does this thing BANG! At first i thought the bass wasn't very heavy when i was standing right next to it, but then i remembered that it's a bandpass box. I stepped a few feet away and i could feel the bass throughout my chest. It's inaugural night had a crowd of 500 and a lot of customers commented that the bass was significant compared to the 4 Mackie Thump 15a that i was using prior. I definitely will be buying another one ASAP!

When I received this Mackie Thump I really put it to the test, I tried to make the clip meter light up no light. I continued to turn up the volume but as I increased the volume the..... BASS!!!!!!!! Very durable and quality subwoofer. What I like the most was how loud the bass was at low levels. Also, this sub does include link outputs for both R and L loudspeakers. I've got these paired with the Mackie Thumps 15 inch and they sound nice. Looking forward to purchasing a DBX driverack to maximize the performance of this sub.
Also, be very careful when handling. This sub is over 100 pounds. It's even heavier in the packaging box.

I like the addition so far no problems. I had a pair of the Thump 15's and added 2 Thump 18's to complete the full system and it does add a lot the sound is very good. I am still experimenting with settings and with an XR16 digital mixer I am amazed at the clean, no noise sound. Good price for all it has done for our system.

The subwoofer is fine. The $100 rebate offer is a hoax. I purchased the sub in November of 2015. Filled out all the necessary paper work for the rebate. This is now April 6, 2016 and I have not received the rebate. Beware of rebate offers on this site.
