I needed a cymbal stand with a boom asap, so after reading myriad reviews, comparing prices and features on boards and retail sites, I went with the Mapex B330 Boom Cymbal Stand. For the price I wasn't expecting much, so imagine my surprise after taking it out of the box and sticking an electronic cymbal on it that it turns out to have a nice finish, is a good weight and highly adjustable.
One thing worth mentioning is that the foot spread is a little wider than some, but to make up for it, I found it easy to adjust in every way, easier than most stands I've owned.
This is a nice stand - I don't know how it will do for a heavy hitter with an 18" cymbal, but for my 13" electronic cymbal, it's quite steady. Overall I find the quality, usability and value of my Mapex cymbal stand to be above my expectations, and I'm quite happy with my purchase.

I was cynical about what quality it would be , but after recieving it, I was very glad I ordered it . Very nice for an intermediate grade boomstand. Would order again.
