The quality seems to be very good and they seem like they will be dependable, time will tell.

How is the tone?
I think the sound of the drums is very good. The snare had to be muted with an external method as it seems that no drum companies put adjustable dampers on the new snare drums. When tuned all seem to meet my needs.

The sale price was great, but when I found a scratch and dent set for 1/3 off and a 10% coupon, and free shipping, I didn't hesitate to place my order. What a great product from a great company!!

The tone is awesome, heads aren't bad, but with some Evans EC2's they sound amazing. Super loud. Get some Moongel or Drum goo...these things ring.

punchy, bright, with light a warmth. The sound of these drums are amazing. They are also lighter the are maple set at or other church.

Though you can get the Horizon in package deal here on AMS for much cheaper, I'm a sucker for looks and liked the Transparent Cherry so much I decided to pay the extra. I am NOT disappointed.
