If ur looking to save floor space then grab a couple of these clamps.. I use a rack system mainly but some shows don't have enough stage.. so I go to cymbal stands and bought 2 of these clamps just to try...they worked perfectly for using 2 stands..add a clamp and the top half of my other boom stand and I have a double boom cymbal stand... highly recommend for the money

This product perfectly matches the black gear (stands) with my drums. With them I have been able to mount two of my toms.
This does require extra care to avoid the finish from getting scratched, so, bubble wrap is practical when packing the stands for a gig.
