The only caveat is the 6 tuning lugs n the Birch floor toms. 2 more lugs/tom wouldn't have been that much more expensive to produce. They still tune up easy and they hold tune. The finish, hardware and overall quality are way above what you'd expect at this price point. I've got a 7 piece that's great! get the Birch while they're still available. Sound How is the tone? These have the classic Birch sound, sharp with a lot of bottom. Microphones love these drums! General Your general opinion of this product. These drums far exceeded my expectations. If it weren't for the Saturns these would be the best value out there. I'd take these over the MyIdentity line any day. Value Was this item an overall good value? You can't beat the deal on these. Appearance Appearance The lacquer finish is beautiful. The fact that you get a hand-rubbed finish for the price of a wrap is great. These things are beautiful out of the box.
