Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This is a quality amp. I've had this for about six months now and it is very sturdy. I don't know what some of the other reviwers got, but mine is solid as a rock, well built and has the look and feel of quality. This is not a painted box, it has the same cover as the cabinet and all the controls are solid. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Like I said, I've only had this for six months, but I play the heck out of it and it has only gotten better. I like to crank it though, and that's where it really shines. You have to have the volume up at least to half, so if you are playing in your bedroom, this may not be the amp for you. But, if you are playing in a real venue go for it and have some fun. Overall Your general opinion of this product. When I first got this amp, I was a little disappointed. The sound was not at all what I expected from a Marshall. Once it was broken in, whole new ball game! This amp is everything you'd expect from a high dollar Marshall Amp. Get this one and save a grand. After you break it in, about 20 hours of play time, you will be glad you got this amp! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This is a big amp, and it is heavy. The dimensions are the same as the top of the angled 1960AX cabinet in both width and length. Don't think that because it is only 50 watts that it is going to save your muscles. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I have been able to get any tone I want out of this amp. On the clean channel, I can get any Fender sound I want (and I play both the Strat and the Les Paul through it) and on the over drive I can get that smooth mellow Dicky Betts, or any southern rock, or Santana sound, and on the boost, Eric Clapton, and even Stevie Ray Vaughn. The tones are what you dial in and what you can do with your axe. This amp is only limited by what you can do. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Fit and finish is excellent on this amp, just as good as any top of the line Marshall. Do not hesitate about this at all. This amp is one of the best looking Marshall's out there and the red light inside is really cool looking. Action How was the action out of the box? Out of the box, I was not so impressed. Like I said this amp needs some breaking in time and you need to crank it up for at least the first 20 hours of playing. I did not like the sound of this amp out of the box and really considered returning it. But being the procrastinator that I am, I kept playing with it and adjusting it and finnaly got the Marshall sound I was looking for. But it was not really the adjustments that made the difference in the long run, it was just the breaking in period. After that I really couldn't make it sound bad no matter what settings I dialed in.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This amp is made very well. I no issue with it. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I have only had this amp for a short period of time but I have no issue with the reliability Overall Your general opinion of this product. For the Price you can't beat this line of marshall amps. I switched from a Line 6 spider valve. I don't miss the amp modeling at all. I play rock music so this amp fits the bill well. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This is great for hard rock, blues, country, whatever you are looking for. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The sound sounds like a typical marshall Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Look just you would expect a marshall to look. Action How was the action out of the box? It was ready to rock

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This head is made very well, aside from the plastic inputs, its a lot of amp for the money. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Only had it for a short time, but I played two 4 hour gigs and not one problem. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This head is great. Simplicity, easy to set up, and doesn't weigh a ton. Can't find a better sound for the money. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Originaly bought this amp for a back up, but after experiencing the ease of use, and great tube tone, its now a primary. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Best clean from Marshall, EVER! great amp for classic/southern rock, or metal. Quick setup. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Looks great, I wish they would've used the classic silver piping instead of black, but the cool LED lights inside make up for it. Action How was the action out of the box? Easy to set up. Does not possess anything you don't need.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Again the build to really bad as described above. However it is a Marshall amp comparable to the JCM2000 series that costs less than $700! As far as i can tell, they only cut corners on the cabinet for the head unit itself. Also made in Vietnam but engineered in England. Personally i don't care if it has the Union Jack on the back of the head or not. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it so we will see. I think eventually i will changing the housing that the head is in. It is kind of built cheaply (seems like its built with cheap particle board. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I bought this head to be played in unison w/ my Vox AC50 combo. It sounds fantastic and truly has the best Clean channel i have ever heard on a Marshall. I think that the build quality of the box is pretty weak. I wouldn't stack anything on it thats for sure. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Easy to use if you know how to work a tube amp. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Awesome clean channel. See above for more description. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Needs to have the traditional white piping instead of the black. Also the LEDs inside the head are neat, not really needed, but I like them. Action How was the action out of the box? Marshall did not ship a power cord with it! I recieved a speaker cable to connect a cabinet but i couldn't turn the thing on! Bad deal on Marshall' part.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Pretty well made for an asian amp.I heard these are made in Vietnam and i believe it. Higher quality than chinese electronics are generally. I dislike that its not made in the UK, but That really has nothing to do with realtive quality and hasnt for a long time. Reliability How has it stood up over time? dont know yet. i dont expect it to be worse or better than any of the JCM's or Laney's ive owned. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Overall I like this amp quite a bit. If your on the fence about buying one of these cause your freinds say its not "real" Marshall consider this: Except that the chassis is spray painted black, and they didnt glue a chintzy yelow alluminum plate on the back, this amp is a (very) slightly simplified JCM 600 or 900. The cabinet is cheaper but you can bolt it into a genuine reproduction solid hand made endangered european baltic plywood plexi box if you want to cough up the 300 bucks for one. It has the Marshall sound and I have never heard any sound closer to the real soul of rock n roll. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Performs like a JCM 900. A little less tight, and more open than a DSL or TSL, but not as gainy as the 900. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Midrange heavy, and slightly dark. sounds a little bit like every Marshall ever built. It has a very generic (but good) Marshall quality to it. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I replaced the black with white piping and white metal corner protectors, and i taped a peice of black construction paper over the plexi glass, on the inside. I know there are tubes in it without the orange LED's Action How was the action out of the box? N/A
