I absolutely love the Martin 15 series guitars. I have the 000 , 000 SM , and the D15. I have the others set up as mainly finger pickers , so the D15 is my strummer. It has a deep woody tone to it. It screams Martin all day long. This guitar smells as good as it looks and sounds. I am falling in love with the sound of this guitar. My recommendation is to keto the Martin strings on it. I tried running elixirs but was not happy with the sound. I went running back to the Martin strings and all is good.

Great guitar sound is sweet perfect for picking and strumming while you write and sing your tunes. But most perfectly the action on this box is up there with the best of rigs making chording and single noting a breeze. If you don’t want to break the bank but have a solid great sounding guitar this is for you.

I bought my D-15M from AMS back in 2015. This guitar is amazing! The all mahogany body and neck gives it the best tone you can find on an acoustic guitar.
This guitar is great for finger-picking. The tone gets warmer and smoother the more you play it. Put in an hour every day and this instrument will sing like no other. I’m thinking if we get another covid stimulus, I just might buy a second one! If you’re even thinking this might be the guitar for you, don’t hesitate. Buy it. This is quite possibly the best guitar you can get for under $5000.

This is a really great guitar. I've had it a few months now, and I find myself playing it more than my D18. It has such a beautiful warm tone that I really enjoy. It plays great as it came. I think these are a great value in the Martin lineup.

I have never encountered a more satisfying tone and timeless beauty as the Martin D-15 model. Nothing sounds as rich and soulful as Martin's full solid mahogany guitars. This is my 5th all solid mahogany Martin purchase since 2009. I have purchased other full solid mahogany guitars from other manufactures but nothing comes within miles of the Martin sound & build quality. The dark mahogany appearance of the 2019 models looks just gorgeous. I didn't think Martin could ever improve on the D-15 model - then they do it by offering the dark mahogany appearance. Stunning timeless looks & sound. I only wish I could add another star to the rating.

I’m a novice, not very good to be honest. I have bought several guitars in my time, never spent more than $300 or $400 before this. (Most of those wound up at a pawn shop never to be seen again.) Right out of the box and a quick tune and I never felt like I had improved more. It’s nothing short of magical to play a well made guitar for the first time. And the smell!!!! If only I I could figure out a way to bottle it. AMS has some excellent payment plans available. I haven’t always had decent credit but I like to think I have built a solid relationship with AMS. For anyone in a similar situation looking to upgrade....DO IT! Call AMS and talk to them about the Martin D15. It might not happen overnight but I’m certain if your credit isn’t quite where it needs to be they will put their trust in you like they did me. This guitar has reinvigorated my willingness to keep playing. WARNING: Now that this guitar is nearly paid off, I’m already eyeing my next Martin upgrade through AMS.

I'm a lover of Martin guitars, I have a collection of them and if you love playing grunge .,Seether or Alice n Chains or love tunning down a half step. You will get such a nice depth and dark tone still with nice mid to highs. Not as bright as Rosewood but that's why I also love my Martin D28. Martins are setup higher than other brands. Which I like you can always set it up lower. But remember you sacrifice your sound and volume. The neck profile is nice on this model it feels almost like a ovation or strat in your hand. No fake bone in the bridge or nut like other brands. This is a great guitar for the money. So either you can get this all wood,bone guitar or get a laminate layered with fake bone from another brand "T" aylor. Or get something of value that's the real deal.

I just received this wonderful guitar from AMS and had a really good experience with their costumer relations department... I wasn't expecting that the quality of this guitar would be as nice as it is.... This guitar just rings and the sound is beautiful. I have an Ovation and it can't compare . I feel that anyone who is looking for a Martin that doesn't have the money to buy one of the high end models to check this guitar out... You won't be disappointed

The Martin D15M is just fantastic. I was playing up in Atl and I went to a big guitar retailer and played everything they had. I picked a d15m over anything they had in stock. It was a GC, so you can imagine the selection. Ended up buying from American Musical to take advantage of no interest.
I had a Fishman Matrix Infinity installed in mine. It sounds fantastic hooked up. But, in the studio, it sounds great on a mic.
It feels fantastic. Intonation out of the box was spot-on. I tune down a whole step and it handles it perfectly.
I liked this guitar because it's so warm, but not muddy. It has volume, but it's not that "loud but doesn't sound like anything" or "loud but sounds too stringy" tone that you get sometimes. Again, it handles being tuned down to DGCFAD wonderfully, and has plenty of clarity without being too bright.
A+. Not a flaw to be found. Nice case, too.
For my money, it was the best value of anything I was considering. It's a real-deal, all solid wood Martin. If you can stomach another couple hundred books to put a pickup in, this is the one for you. Maybe. I mean, different strokes for different folks. But, to me, just something about this all mahogany dreadnaught sounds SO good. My only gripe was that it doesn't come with a neck-side strap button. Not a big deal, but would've been nice not to have to fool with it.

I just bought it, but I have no concerns about a Martin. They stand the test of time, and if there ever is a problem, Martin always makes it right.
Your general opinion of this product.
This is a fantastic made in the U.S.A. Martin. It is plain looking, but some folks, including me, love that. Great guitar!
Playability is great. Smooth neck. No issues.
This guitar has a dryer sounding tone than my rosewood guitars, that is why I purchased it.
Finish is plain, but perfect.
Great for me. No buzz.
