Product Review
From what I have read and watched Martin guitars will not be perfectly set up from the factory, I had to pay a Luthier to adjust my D35 standard edition, and it plays awesome. Also this guitar does not have any inlays, their is a D35 you can buy with inlays for 3,499. Don't kid yourself, if you can afford it, buy it!

I'm the original owner of a D-35 that I purchased in 1967. I would not trade it for anything. I consider it in almost mint condition in spite of the parties it's been to over the years. I really fell in love with the 3 part back which drew me to it in the first place. It will stay in the family for sure!

Very Good Guitar, Take care of it!!

Made very well. Very dependable.
I have owned my D35 for about 20 years. It has stood up well despite my initial ignorance in not keeping it in the right environment. These are delicate instruments. All guitars need to be stored in 45-50% humidity. Mine dried out and I had to sink another $1200 in repairs into it.
Your general opinion of this product.
Solid, above average guitar for the price
Nice action and the tuners are excellent.
Beautiful tone.
It still looks awesome
I don't remember. It was 20 years ago.

Martin quality is unmatched, they make sure it's perfect before they let them leave the factory.
If you take care of it and monitor the humidity in your home it will long outlive you.

The action is perfect.
The tone is excellent, it's a Martin!

Martin is the best guitar maker in America!

Beautiful nonblemished finish all around.
Just got mine, less than a week old!
Your general opinion of this product.
Martin is the best American guitar maker in my book.
Perfect fit! Not one complaint! Neck is perfect size for me.Tuning knobs are easy to set and are Grovers so they hold the tune for a long time.
Tone was middle of the road for me. Good tonal bass and treble throughout all chords and finger-picking. Great musical sound.
Outstanding!Found absolutely no blemishes in paint or finish.
Excellent. This D35 is very easy to play. I made no changes except for strings. My preference for strings is Martin M1400 Silk and Steel, .0115-.047. I like the sound and the feel.

My Baby!

Your general opinion of this product.
QUALITY:
It's a Martin and has no adjustable trussrod - that should tell you how confidant they are about they're quality - say not more.
FEATURES:
If I had my druthers, I suppose I would have preferred the Brazilian rosewood over the Indian - I think the grain is a little more interesting, but Martin stopped using it) - but that doesn't affect the great sound at all.
EASE OF USE:
Great action and stays in tune all the way up and down the neck.
VALUE:
I paid $350 for it back in 1972, so it would be a gross understatement to say that's a good value.
SOUND:
Beautifully rich tone with that big dreadnought sound that really projects. Because of the big box, you have to roll a little off the bottom when recording it.

I never thought I could afford one of these.. but I bit the bullet and purchased one. This is the best guitar I have ever played/owned. I also have had Guilds, other Martins, and Epiphones. If you are looking for a guitar that has resonation and a booming bass... this is it!

Your general opinion of this product.
QUALITY:
I can't find any flaw in this guitar. It is smooth in every angle.
FEATURES:
One could wish the Martin added some fancier inlays on this guitar's fingerboard and headplate. However its simple design cuts down the price drastically while keeping the high end tone, so I have no problem.
EASE OF USE:
Simply awesome. I have not seen another guitar with such smooth frets.
VALUE:
The Martin value. Nothing comes close.
SOUND:
This beast has incredible bass output. It's such an amazing rhythm guitar.
STYLE:

OVERALL:
I've had acoustic guitars from various makers, however I always wanted a guitar with deeper bass and clearer tone. I can't even remember the last time I even touched my other guitars because I'm so drawn to my D-35. I've had this guitar for almost a year now, and

Your general opinion of this product.
I just began playing after a 10 ten year detour and decided to upgrade from a 30 year low-end Yamaha (which sounds good) to a Martin. I struggled between the D28 and D35 but pulled the trigger on the latter and have no buyers remorse. Great sound that just rings forever and excellent tone. You can't go wrong with a Martin.
