As Simple As It Gets, Good Straight Forward Keyboard Controller
Quality:
Granted its all plastic but its very light wieght (great for portability), keys have a good response, modulation wheels are good.
Features:
Modulation Wheels have a good response and the keys feel pretty good given the fact that they are no hammer action.
Ease of Use:
Plug and Play, thats it. No wasting time on drivers and settings and installers, just lug it in and your good to go.
Sound:
No built in sounds, but 90% of the time everyone triggers the sounds off their program so why pay more for sounds that you'll probably never use. Excellent as a midi controller.
Action:
all the keys have great response and are pretty durable. I have had no issues with latency (but then again your audio interface has to be good also).
Value:
All in all, I think for under $100 you cant go wrong. 49 keys gives you alot of room for piano playing and/or trigger sounds. There is no midi connection but then again Midi inputs on your interface are valuable so the fact that you can use USB with this is good just in case you have other equipment that is dedicated only to Midi. Very compact, light weight, responds well, hand modulation wheels. Ive owned this unit about 3 times so something tells me that since I keep on coming back to the controller, then I should stop buying and reselling it and just keep it as a permanent controller. Great for compact and/or Portable studio setups.
