The sound quality on the Octane preamps is excellent. The case is very sturdy. Knobs also seem sturdy. All in all this seems to be a very well made piece of equipment.

Again, the (8) Octane preamps are awesome. I also like that this unit is rack-mountable. The dual headphone outs are handy also. Routing with the provided software is also VERY flexible. You can chain 2626s together via firewire and it is also possible to connect other interfaces via optical connections.

I had it up and running within 5 minutes. The routing software takes a LITTLE getting used to, but overall I have found this to be very easy to use.

The profire 2626 is with out a dout one of the best interfaces out on the market "vary well made" this interface holds on vary strong

"In my opinion" the fact that it has 16 optical channels and 8 analog under 1000$ just makes it the best/ In my opinion this interface is perfect the way it is

This product is not so easy to use at first if you have no experience with hitch gadgets but it works well with any software as soon as you get the hang of it; if it only took me a few minutes to figure out how to work with it im sure any one could manage, don't try to use the manual just go on youtube

This thing has amazing sound quality. The 2 headphone jacks work very well. I especially love the internal routing!

Very simple to use! I still haven't read the manual. Everything is pretty straight forward.. it doesn't take a Pro to figure this thing out. Works flawlessly with Logic Studio.

This was probably one of my best buys. I don't regret it at all. And also, a lot cheaper than any Digidesign product out there and works just as good if not better than the digi's.

This is built very well from the buttons to the knobs. Have been put through a large workload for several hours at a time and no problems.

The internal routing in the software and mixer are the best features in this system. Only thing I would is make every channel have its own phantom power . Not complaining though. Pre's are clear as a bell.

To me the function of this product depends on your knowledge of signal flow in the audio world but is not hard to figure out and the manual helps out. Plays well with others too. the only limit is your imagination.

Yes!!! The Digi003 is way over priced and you get better quality recordings for a lesser price.

The converters in the ProFire are so clean. I upgraded from a 10 year old Echo-Layla, so just about anything sounds clean. The knobs feel pretty solid and have a nice click when the -20dB is engaged. Mic pres are nice. I hear more of the mic, instrument, etc than ever with my old gear.

The 2 headphone jacks and 2 instument jacks are nice features, and having the ability to create up to 3 monitor mixes is awesome. But, the lack of preamp control when using the 1/4 inputs on the back is a real bummer. In the end, there are way more +'s than -'s that I will use later on (like the stand-alone convert mode).
