As good as Blackburn Mullards
Dr. collosus from undiclosed location
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
very high.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
so far so good. they are new. i am using a matched quad. THATS one of the other great things about these - genuinely matched tubes. im not a matching fanatic but scouring online auctions for 55 year old vacuum tubes, that have (lets be real) hundreds of hours on them, for "matched sets" just isnt as good.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Yep. thats what i said. In truth no EL34 ever made can touch the XF1 Mullards or the Amperex Bugle Boy EL34 from the 50's but these are as good as the others that came out of england and holland in the 60's and 70's
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The best bottles yet. nice heavy glass with the rounded top and bottom tapered "english" look. some brown bakelite bases would be nice. new sensor take note: how about some super extra deluxe reissue with a brown bakelite base?
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
sounds like a phillips type to me
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Its good to see that sheild.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
