I was very excited to get this stand. Unfortunately, the stand is stuck in the lock position. It’s from China. They over tightened the adjustment. It’s cheap. It’s good from far, but far from good. Stay away. Buy the proline.

These are the best short stands, I have had several and they are always solid! They hold a heavy Beta 52 better than any other stand and just stand solid because of that foot on the base.

Have a pair of these for guitar cab micing, bought another couple for drums. Plan on grabbing one more for the bottom half of a bass cab. It's built like a tank, and it can take abuse. Solid mic stand, for a great price, totally recommend it.

Took a bit to understand... so many options for adjustment but, A GOOD THING.. Was hoping it could go lower for my kick drum mic. but, I eventually found a stellar way for it to work. Very please in our line of work options are everything in a crunch. GREAT Addition to the family.

Good overall short boom stand. if it is set to max height, a heavy mic will tip if forward. Boom could be longer, almost 1/3 of extention length is taken up by the mount , and therefore unusable.
Very heavy, base could be longer to prevent tipping when fully extended

It's held up to a few months of regular gigging in local bars, which is more than I can say about a lot of other mic stands I've owned. Note that the boom tilt adjustment needs to be VERY tight to stay put; twist until you can't, and you're almost there.
It's a pretty plain mic stand. I like the heavy base, it keeps it sturdy even at full extension. A telescoping boom or a heavier counterweight would be welcome, but unrealistic at this price point.
Just as easy as every other OnStage Stand. Easy to use, and easy to mis-use.

It seems to be decently made. I don't know how well it would hold up on the road. The locking sleeve on the vertical shaft is difficult to tighten. It doesn't slip down but the shaft can rotate. That works well for me.
A very small footprint
This works well on a desk top too. I use it for a pod cast type set up. I bought this brand because it has a longer boom than the Pro Line MS112 and is $8 cheaper here at AMS.
It is supposed to hold mics weighing up to 1 Lb. My MXL990 weighs 1.1 pound and on a fully extended it was on the verge of tipping. I slipped a 2.5 pound weight plate from one of my dumbbells over the base shaft and it works great.

This is a stout and sturdy stand. The base alone weigh's over five lbs. I use this to hold a base drum mic that weighs over one pound, and I can extend the boom arm almost all the way out without it getting tippy. Over all a killer value for the money.
The heavy base is a must,a small bolt on counter weight for the boom arm would be even better.
If you can tie your shoes your ready to tackle this brain buster.
