I like everything about this stand except for the fact that it is very hard to tighten the boom enough to keep it from slipping and turning, especially when holding a condenser mic and pop screen.

I got this to replace a Peavey stand that "Vanished" after a gig. I get the daily AMS emails and got this at a lower price than the usual deal. It also fits into the gig bag that came with the Peavey. All set for the next gig.

This mic stand / boom combination fills the bill for my needs. It is well built and the boom is steady. The only reason it is not 5-stars is that I prefer the heavy solid metal base. I just must be sure there is a tripod leg pointing in the direction of the mic.

I needed a new microphone stand for my home and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. So, I had an offer from AMS and I gave a shot. Let me tell you - I gotta give a whole lot of credit to AMS for a phenomenal service. I ordered it afternoon and already next day I got my new microphone stand which is way better than I expected. For this money this is more than perfect. It looks nice, it's sturdy... I kinda regret that I didn't order another one. Highly recommend.

As far as economical mic stands go this one is nice. I needed a couple of basic mic stands for use in a multipurpose room utilized by adults and teens. I won't loose any sleep if anything happens to them for the price I paid. Not bad quality for this range of mic stand.

I needed this for my small in home stdio and it did not let me down comes capable of holding just about any mic and is easy to put together though it comes with no instructions and may be difficult if you have never put a mic stand like this together before, but a solid product, the one thing that I could say is that the screw tighteners that hold the mic in place are plastic and would have rather paid a little more for them to be metal so that they would hold up better but no problems yet so far so good.

I was expecting a plastic housing that holds the boom arm in place; pleasantly surprised to see the housing was made of metal. It seemed heavier than similar stands I've used. Solid construction. What that should mean is the female thread where the screw tightens and holds the boom arm in place will last longer. It seems the plastic housing usually strip out after a few gigs. We'll see down the road how it holds up.
