QUALITY:
Professional level with solid drivers. Not one breakdown or problem in about 6 months.
FEATURES:
The best feature is its gorgeous sound. There are no bad features.
EASE OF USE:
Load it up. Easy registration. Select it within your sequencing program...and you're at Carnegie Hall. Seriously.
VALUE:
Excellent value. I have three grand pianos in my studio.
SOUND:
Off the chart. I've tried almost every keyboard or workstation...plus two other current grand piano VSTs, and this is a slam dunk winner. Gorgeous, gorgeous sound with he nuances of touch sensitivity and the different colors created by how you strike the keys. | |

QUALITY:
It's smooth operating and seemingly solid. I've banged on the keys and got some clipping, but only with complete randomness. Just amazing attention to real piano detail though!
FEATURES:
It's centered around someone who just wants to focus in on playing. My favorite out of the piano samples is actually the clunky upright. It's got so much personality, it remind me of playing my real upright beater! The visuals of the pianos are kinda dumb. They don't really serve any use except to visually stimulate someone how's into cheesy ray-tracing.
EASE OF USE:
Vey straightforward. Not a ton of control but like I said, it's geared toward someone who's just a player.
VALUE:
I'd say it's excellent in value. Try buying a Bose 290 sample for Kontakt 2 and The Steinway D by themselves and you'll see.

QUALITY:
Excellent v1 software, based on the famous Kontakt sampling engine.
FEATURES:
By far the best thing is the update 1.1R2. It has reduced cpu load dramatically, a good 60% less load, letting it run perfectly on low grade hardware, cpu, ram, soundcard etc.
EASE OF USE:
It is extremely simple to use and understand and experiment with.
VALUE:
I would not have paid more for the software, it's priced fairly.
SOUND:
The sound is fine tuned, even more re-tuning done with the update. Each piano is distinct and the various rooms make a big difference, or just use dry sound. Other tweeks can be done, lid, pedal noise, overtones, release, velocity etc. There are 16 bit or 24 bit samples to choose/install. |
