Product Rating Product Review I have used and owned a lot of mics. From U47s to U67s to 251s. While this mic is not in the same category as those, nor does it do the same things, I am blown away by this little mic. I have also tried everything in its price range, from the tlm 103 to the tlm 49 to Lauten Audio Atlantis to all of the Telefunken line. This guy beats them all, hands down, to my ears as a studio workhorse. It’s extremely balanced across the spectrum and has that famous Neumann mId range. For an all around workhorse in this price range, it sets the bar. I have used it on percussion, vocals, acoustic and electric guitars and the results are inspiring. I like it better than a U87, shockingly. It’s just a neutral, balanced, Neumann-y. The low end extends far enough to even sound great on my baritone voice. 5 polar patterns, a pad and three options for high pass filtering just make it that much more flexible than other options in the price range. Do not hesitate. I thinks this is a bit of a slept on microphone, for what reason I don’t know. It’s a Neumann through and through and as versatile as anything they make.

Product Review The TLM 107 is an excellent microphone! It’s highly versatile, and it has the Neumann sound (definitely in the realm of the U87ai), even though it’s a different capsule design. I have used it on vocals, nylon and steel string acoustics, cello, stand up bass, violin, viola, banjo, trumpet, oboe, mandolin, and sitar so far with excellent results. It also has really low self noise. A true workhorse, and well worth the money.

Product Review The Neumann 107 is the most versatile microphone to have in you studio. I did a lot of research before purchasing the 107. Never had the chance to test it myself before buying, so I wasn't sure what to expect. With that said, the hype is real! This Microphone is seriously the best investment I could have made. Having a Microphone that can capture the authenticity in vocal and instrument performance is priceless when you really sit down to mix and master. get it right at the time of recording and save yourself a headache later.

Product Review The TLM 107 is an amazing microphone! It has impeccable clarity and is one of my go to microphones for pretty much everything. Vocals, acoustic guitar, you name it. The ability to change polar patterns makes it an even more useful piece of gear as I am able to get many different tones and use different kinds of stereo techniques with it (I have two). I would recommend this microphone to anyone interested. It is on par with the AKG C414 if not further ahead than the 414.

Product Review I was fortunate enough to demo the TLM 107 at AES Convention late last year. I found this microphone well suited for my vocal needs. It has a botttom end that is lacking with the U87. Now that I have it in my studio I find that my choice was correct then and now. The TLM 107 is very clear and detailed. I not only hear my vocals but my environment. I am running this into an Avalon M5 and boy what a combo! If you have a good mic pre and looking to capture your sound source in its true form, this microphone is a good consideration. The only complaint I have is that the shockmount is sold seperately (for an additional $125.00). You would think if you spent $1600.00 dollars on a microphone the shockmount would be included.
