| At first glance this appears to be a solidly made product - it doesn't have a cheap or plastic feel. But it appears to malfunction frequently and to be consistently unreliable. |

| Overall the features would be okay if the unit ever performed as advertised. I actually don’t know that I like the fact that the video is slaved to the sound because the aural transitions are not smooth as with a normal dual CD player – no overlap, just one song ends and the other begins. But then, I didn’t get to see whether there was a way around this because the left side stopped responding on the 4th song of the first disk I put in at last night’s show. |

The right side played but I wasn’t trying to judge the quality of the sound because I was too caught up in the fact that the left side display went out before I was even finished setting up the rest of my equipment! And it never gave me back the CD because none of the buttons on the left side of the unit responded. |

Okay I first ordered this item on 08/25/09 for a Sweet 16 party and also for my regular Saturday night gig on 08/29/09. I was really pleased to receive it on 08/28/09, well in time for the gigs. But when I tried it out, the left side never read any CD I loaded into it. And it would also freeze up and not return the disk when the “eject” button was pressed, unless I flicked the unit off and on. So instead of using it that Saturday, I shipped it back that Saturday and ended up having to buy another product that day at a local music store to use for my gigs.
Well it took a minute for the replacement unit to arrive (but I didn’t complain because I’d bout another little dual CD player intending to use it as a backup to the KMX02.) Gigging 3 or 4 times a week, I really need to have reasonably reliable equipment. But the replacement arrived 09/04/09 and it appeared to work fine when I tested it out of the box on Friday.
