Reliability How has it stood up over time? I just purchased it , so cannot answer at this time. However the floor model I tried had been there for quite awhile and was probably knocked around by many people and still played and sounded great. General Your general opinion of this product. Due to economic stress I unfortunately had to sell my best 6 string acoustic-electric Taylor, so as a gigging player needed a replacement quickly. This black beauty caught my eye and I was really impressed with its look , feel and sound. It sounds good unplugged and terrific through my amp. I am very happy with this ax Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This Ovation has a great feel; I love the neck which reminds me of the easy action of an electric. The control panel is easy to access and well-done for this reasonably priced guitar. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The overall tone is well balanced and the electronics are very substantial with plenty of power. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I was looking for a black guitar and I really like the finish on this one, I don't think it looks cheap or plastic-like as others have suggested. Action How was the action out of the box? The action out of the box was good although I will probably have a tech do a setup after awhile as all guitarist have diverse preferences as far as action is concerned.

Plays nice and sounds nice. I always wanted an ovation and I finally have one. The rounded back does make it a bit slippery to play when sitting down. I never play standing up or with a strap so kinda not really digging it slipping around on my leg.The action is pretty good not quite sure what i was hoping for. Im not totally sure that its worth the extra money over the celebrity. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck?
