I love me some Ovation.

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This guitar is well made and quite playable right out of the box. No visible flaws were apparent when it arrived. The tuners are good quality. The only times I've had to retune, I had to tune down becasue we keep our house fairly cold. The tuners don't seem to loosen in the case like cheap tuners tend to do. I am satisfied.
How has it stood up over time?
So far so good. I've only had it a month, but the last Ovation I had lasted me several years.
Your general opinion of this product.
This is a beautiful guitar. I have had it for about a month. It is my second Ovation in a string of many guitars over the years. You just cant beat the tones of Ovation guitars. It is pleanty loud on its own; infact I haven't even plugged it in yet. P.S. The onbboard tuner is great.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck is very fast. I like how, unlike most acoustics, it is thin like on an electric. The guitar is extremely easier to play...much easier than my Fender Acoustic. It is like playing an electric with accoustic tones. It takes a minute to get used to the round back though, as far as how the instrument sits against you.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone is very good. This guitar is a happy sounding one, although you can bring out her darkside very easily when needed.
How did the stain or paint job look?
The finish is great, no blemishes anywhere. You might want to use a little fret oil on the fret board though.
How was the action out of the box?
Straight out of the bix the action is ok but mine needed a little tweeking as all guitars do when you don't buy them directly from a store. I took out a shim from under the bridge because I am very picky about string height, and now the strings are about the thickness of a match book above the frets from lower to upper. Most people wouldn't have been offended by the factory settings.
