Quality drum for not too bad of a price. Great purchase.
Has a Great sound, little ring when tuned lower but still great tone.
Great value not the most expensive but still get a quality Piccolo.

For this price you get a whole lot of quality. I have had hundreds of compliments over the years. Im sure I've made Pearl some sales. :)
As you can imagine, this has a very high pitch as it should be. Cuts through great with heavy rock guitar and distortion. I have owned this metal version and the 13' maple version. If you are into more of a rock sound I would recommend this metal one but I feel the maple is more versatile with a warmer tone. What kind of sound you want is of course a matter of preference.
When I first bought this snare I got it because I didnt have a lot of money and wanted at least get something decent. This drum is way more than some middle of the road snare. It has got to be one of the very best you can buy in this price range. And definitely the best piccolo for this kinda money.
