Perfect for what I was looking for.
A small kit for my studio, for my drummers to practice on without hauling their own sets.
Plus, a small kit for those tiny venues. Sounds great mic’d up.
The cymbals that came with it are pfffffttt.. but I’ll upgrade later.
I can see this being a great starter kit for a child or beginner.. . But it can definitely handle a gig, I’ve already used it on one, the day after it arrived, and it was great.
The finish looks noice too!!

This has been a great addition to our family! Everybody loves to play and it is a great (and fun) tool to teach rhythm to everybody! It was easy to put together and sounds great! Awesome that it comes with everything you need, including a throne. Great for a family of beginning drummers and a hit with everybody that gets to play!

I am a guitar player but like to play drums once in awhile so these are perfect for me! The kit sounds pretty good but will need symbols and drum heads to sound even better. Very satisfied with my purchase and selection at AMS!

30+ year working musician that needed an acoustic set with a small footprint, to accompany a couple e-kits in the studio. A day or two of browsing and I pulled the trigger on these Pearl's. Two days later my FedEx guy is huffing (or trying to huff) this box of thunder up the steps. It came with hats and cymbal that are ok, I changed the heads on everything but the snare, although for jamming the stock heads are fine. Look no further if you're needing a big sound in a little kit.

Got these for my 9year old son. But I bang on them too. Quality is good. Pretty easy to assemble. Like any other set in this price range, new skins & cymbals will wake this set up. But what comes with it works just fine for learning and home practice. AMS was great to deal with. As usual.

So at first I was skeptical about the price and how the quality might match it! Don’t be fooled. I’m enjoy my drum set! My praise team rehearses every Thursday night so it gives me three nights of practice before Sunday.
The cymbals are loud but they work well! Love the snare!! It comes with a legit stick bag with two pairs of sticks. The sticks are kinda chunky but they’ll get the job done. Rack Tom is the perfect size. Floor Tom is not the best for a tall guy like myself (6’4”) but I can work with it. Bass Drum is the perfect size!
*SN: This is not a travel kit straight out the box until you customize it with your own drumheads and cymbals. (Evans drumheads and Zildjian cymbals are my preference)
Overall, you cannot beat this deal!! Enjoy you a Pearl!! They’re better than Diamonds!

This set is a steal of a deal.., takes about an hour to put together but I’m super impressed on the build quality and sound for such an inexpensive drum kit! The hi hats sound decent and and the crash ride sounds great! The snare sounds awesome and the kick drum thumps our jam room.., definitely recommend this kit for anyone that needs a nice sounding drum kit without breaking the bank!!!

My set came today. I was vert impressed Double braced hardware. Nice sounding kit.Cymbals sound good. I tuned them, which is quite easy .Come with a neat stick bag, and to pair. Im 61 years old. I have had many sets

I'm only giving 4 stars because of the hardware (which REALLY isn't all that bad.) I have a higher quality cymbal and Tom Tom stand that are made of a higher and heavier gauge steel or whatever they're made of, and the difference to the casual observer is negligible.
I got WAY more than I bargained for for the price and then some. One reviewer commented that they were great for a beginner. I don't dispute that, however that same person is minimizing the quality of this set.
This is a pretty good set. If I had a LOT of money to spend to play arenas or something, I'd say, "yeah, I would look for something that's going to stand up to a tougher beating that Tommy Lee might have given them back in the 1980's, but otherwise, for home practice, small venues and if you're good enough anywhere really. They're not bad.
