Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very poor QC from factory. First one I received was very badly scratched on the front. AMS was great about replacing it. Second one I received was badly scratched on the back, as if someone were truing to align the threaded brass insert with some kind of threaded rod to hold it. The plastic around the trhreaded insert is all scratched up. In both cases the box was not sealed in plastic wrap and I don't know if I received used units or new. I kept the second unit with the scratches on the back, but I probably should have returned it. Secondly, the buttons for forward/back are very inconsistent in feel. One you need to push farther than the other, and they don't feel smooth at all. Has a very chintzy feel to it (the buttons). With both units, once the audible metronome starts playing, the second measure drops out. That's right, the first measure plays, then the second measure drops out, then the third, fourth, etc. play ok. I had to go to the website to download a program, Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? (cont.) then download a patch, and only then did the audio stop dropping out. This purchase has caused me excessive time and effort, and I still have a scratched-up unit. Features: This is avery immature implementation. You cannot name your presets. You cannot have the audio playing when the tactile sensor is plugged in. The tactile device has a very soft, laggy feel to it because it's a vibrator, essentially. That means it takes time to spool up and spool down. It has a very soft, sloppy feel. Better would be a device that creates a sharp, instantaneous tap. Once the music is playing it can be hard to feel the virbration. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? It seems easy enough to use. Manual is ok and things are described reasonably well. General Your general opinion of this product. Immature implementation, needs a patch to avoid sound dropout, doesn't come sealed and I received 2 scratched units, buttons feel imprecise to say the least and have a cheap feel to them, can't play audio and have vibrator on simultaneously. Value Was this item an overall good value? No, it's expensive for what it does and the quality of construction just isn't there. If another company offered a similar device with better construction and QC I would go with them in a split second.
