Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Looks solid, neck-thru build with mahogany body wings. Hardware is all industry standard stuff, a high mass string thru body bridge and lightweight tuners. Big strap buttons, so no need for straplocks. Pickups and other hardware are securely mounted, no issues. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? For me, this bass was about finally getting a neck-thru for my stable of mostly Fender instruments. To get a solidly built 24 fret neck thru bass with two humbucking PUs, great action and a very usable variety of tones...where is the down side??? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? With the light strings, the bass has a snappy high end (the mahogany is very light and adds to the effect) with even mids and a modest bottom. It will NOT recreate a classic Music Man tone with factory setup, there's just not enough wood on this thing! Heavier strings and higher action would add to the bass' depth, but maybe at the cost of all that sparkle. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish was OK, but I did get mine as a scratch & dent, and it was due to a relatively minor factory finish issue that AMS detected and subsequently discounted the bass (SIGNIFICANTLY) for. At a distance greater than 6 inches, you can't tell a thing and the bass is otherwise unaffected.
