NOt sure.. yet on this one. Iv'e hauled QSC, Samdon, and thought they weighed 35-50lbs. I know it could take a lick'n and keep on tick'n. BUT, this thing feels like one little drop, and it's in a million peices. But i really appreciate the lightweight.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Best feature Light weight and cool looking lit up ... ? If i hade to add anything thing: 5 more pounds. yeah..it's so light you think it might break or it's to fragile to be apart of your mobile unit. But i guess why it was designed that way. That's why i rated it 4 out of 5. I knew it would be lite but not that lite.

Real easy to use. 2 basic connections Input, Output. Nothing real fancy here. Now the glowing blue lights come on as soon as you pluhg it in. But doesn't mean power is on. You have to have you LED lights green to know signal power is runnign through the amplifier. The blue lights give a great ambiance in you DJ corner. My fans like it.
Sound
How is the tone?
Sound quality is to be desired. I don't think it's a "superb sound" but, it puts sound out there. I would'nt do a super big professional gig with it. A little birthday party for you niece or nephew, 40-60 people, yeah sure.. But, not for the club scene.

Quality is great, but it feels a bit cheaper than some of the older Peavey power amps, then again, it is made of different material to help with the weight.
The weight is incredible though, super light and TONS of power.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The best feature of this product is the weight, power and price.

Simple to use, but be warned that the unit has LEDs that light up when the unit is plugged in (but not turned on).
This has made me see the LEDs thinking it was powered up, got no signal, traced things out and it was as simple as the power amp not being turned on! Yeah, I've been doing this for 25 years and I still had that issue; so don't assume I'm a dummy. The LEDs are too much, making it way too visible for my liking. Could do without that.

Tone is excellent, but if you are going from a tube power amp to this, you will need to change your EQ a bit, because this guy does have a different color to it than a tube power amp. (I'm using this with a Fractal Audio AxeFX so the Global EQ helps when I use this over my VHT 2/90/2).

The only con is the ears that stick out and block where you screw the amp into a case.

As a power amp, it's everything you would expect, done very well. I'll be honest I think the blue LED back-lighting is pretty sweet.

Unboxing was easy, this unit is a light as they advertise. I had to supply my own rack-mounting hardware, which actually worked out well as I needed some new SKB clips anyway. 1/4" and Speakon cable connections are made to perform well beyond the intro price point of this amp.
Sound
How is the tone?
Well rounded with a preference towards the low end, but that's par for the course for Peavy electronics. The IPR 1600 has got it where it counts and then some.

This thing is really light and pretty! problem with this thing is that just using it to drive 2 Yamaha SV15 and it cuts out all the time. Just vocals... I am not sure about using this out anywhere. If it is light but you can;t drive anything with it then is it a Value?

It feels so light it's hard to tell how well made it is. It feels like a toy. But knowing Peavey ( They build stuff that lasts and all there other stuff handles bumps and bruises well )

honestly I have heard better. But I have these things plugged into some brand new elcheapo Behringer 212's. So I can't really give a great tonal review even if it did. It's ok
