A steal of a bass at this price; I plan on buying one

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Very solidly built bass. Pickups and preamp wiring was clean. Good bolt joint for neck. Frets were installed and finished well.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
This has the active soapbar pickups and preamp from the Cirrus bass collection. Come on!! Really?!?! Super phenominal. Comfortable weight. Bass tends to nose-dive when standing, but balanced pretty well when sitting.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Kinda went over tone in the "Sound" description.
Overall opinion: Having played the bass, I believe it should sell for double what the price is. This is a comfortable bass with good tone and good construction. I've been playing professionally in studios and in live projects for the last 12 years, and I've played basses priced at $800 - $1000 that didn't play or sound as good as this bass does. I would say to buy the bass, and if you don't use it for anything else, you'll have a reliable back-up bass for live gigs.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Flawless black dye finish over quilted maple top. Beautiful bass to look at. Satin finish on neck.
