Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very solidly built bass. Pickups and preamp wiring was clean. Good bolt joint for neck. Frets were installed and finished well. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? This has the active soapbar pickups and preamp from the Cirrus bass collection. Come on!! Really?!?! Super phenominal. Comfortable weight. Bass tends to nose-dive when standing, but balanced pretty well when sitting. Sound How is its Tone? Bright, clear sound with decent bottom. Preamp gives lots of tonal options. I didn't experience any dead spots in this neck, though I have read reviews of bad dead spots in this series. I guess you guys just got some bad pieces of maple for your neck... ...sorry bout that... Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Smooth, fast neck. Not thin like an Ibanez SR, but not thick like an American Fender or Warwick. Falls in the middle. The upper strap horn feels really long. In reality, it isn't; just the design of the bass. Bass dives in standing position. Dive isn't the worst that I've seen, but weight distribution isn't even. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Kinda went over tone in the "Sound" description. Overall opinion: Having played the bass, I believe it should sell for double what the price is. This is a comfortable bass with good tone and good construction. I've been playing professionally in studios and in live projects for the last 12 years, and I've played basses priced at $800 - $1000 that didn't play or sound as good as this bass does. I would say to buy the bass, and if you don't use it for anything else, you'll have a reliable back-up bass for live gigs. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Flawless black dye finish over quilted maple top. Beautiful bass to look at. Satin finish on neck. Action How was the action out of the box? Friend of mine purchased this bass. I was at his house when it arrived and performed a general setup job for him on this bass. He told me to set it up as if it were mine: Action OOTB was good. I like low action, and the action felt good to me. I made only minor adjustments.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I have had the neck adjusted twice and the plug in nut will not stay tight. Otherwise I have not complaints. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? Smooth action. I added flat wound jazz strings which really made it fast and clean. Sound How is its Tone? I do like a beefier tone but for the cost this bass is good. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It is heavy but very fast. Neck is smooth and nice looking. Controls are difficult to change while playing but that could just be me. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Mellow sounding the G string has little sustain. But the other string hold well and are very smooth. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? beautiful finish Action How was the action out of the box? Minor action adjusting but I like higher action.
