Well worth the money, sound good, loud and easy to to use.
Using these as monitors for rock band. Plenty loud and sound great. Would not hesitate to use as mains.
I have EV EKX 15's and Mackie SRM650's to A/B side by side. I sent the Mackies back quick, very disappointed. EV's are great and using them as mains
Pro's:
Not much money.
Easy pay plan.
Easy set up.
Well built, no rattles or buzz.
Plenty of real power and high SPL
Fan cooled. (I don't know how some manufactures can claim 1000 or 1500 watts and not have a fan!)
Handle kick drum well. (as good as you will get without a sub)
2 year warranty from Peavey and an additional year from AMS
Con's:
Bigger than most powered 15"s
Not as sexy looking as some others.
Fan runs all the time and a bit loud, not an issue for me and I'll take that over no fan any day.
Conclusion:
I love them, and for $399. You would have to spend twice as much to get anything just a little better. They are plenty loud and sound very good

Hello, I run a small sound Company and it was time to purchase some new powered speakers for my smaller events as well as rentals. I needed a Powered enclosure that would be able to withstand the worst kind of rental clients and the torture and damage that they would cause. I tried the EV ZLX-15p first, pulled them out of the box and played around with them.....then placed them back in the box and sent them back...Great speaker if your just starting out and dont require much volume and SPL. I then ordered the Pvxp15s and WOW are they loud, i was surprised at the volume considering the price. NOOOWWW they are very heavey and Large compared to powered speaker in todays market but volume+Loudness+Price they cannot be touched at all. I just ordered the Pvxp Sub to go with them and they will be perfect.... I suggest ordering the 12inch and the subs as a pair for perfect size and sound.
