Great Gigging amp

General Your general opinion of this product. I've been gigging with one of these for about 5 years now. I set the "damping" switch on the back to "tight" and just run through the lead channel on "classic" with gain around 6 or 7 AND I leave the "boost" knob on about halfway. With this setting I get a punchy tone that cleans up with guitar volume adjustment (Les Paul Studio). I use a BOSS GE7 for a solo boost. I sometimes run an extra 8 ohm cabinet along with it if we're playing outside, just to move more air, but I rarely have the volume over around 2 or 3 (keeping in mind that the boost knob is halfway up at all times)...plenty loud!

Your general opinion of this product. I used to have one back in the 90s. That thing was a beast, even though it was the lower watt version, but took a lot of abuse from being stood on, dropped a few times to having our drummer puke on it.

Your general opinion of this product. I grew up anti Peavey without ever knowing why. After owning a VK212 and LOVING it, I wanted to find another amp with the same awesome sounds without all of the weight and the PITA of replacing tubes all the time. I played through an '85 Bandit and loved it. When it came time to buy a new amp...this one was it.
