I needed a couple new XLR cables for live performances (solo vocal/acoustic guitar). The first thing I noticed is how much thicker and durable these cables seem to be than my other XLR cables. I feel like they can stand up to more "abuse" than my thinner cables. I've gigged with them a few times so far, and they sound good as I hoped/expected they would. Definitely a good cable if you need something that can stand up to the rigors of live performances.

Perfect mic cable. 25ft is sometimes too short, and 50ft is way too long, I spend all night coiling the cable. 30ft is perfect for most stage settings. I used this cable to mic my guitar amp so it runs behind the drummer where sometimes drinks get spilled on it and it gets stepped on. Very quiet and the thick casing provides awesome protection. It wipes down and cleans up very easily, I have no complaints about this cable, I would buy time and time again.

The thickness of these cables is around double most other cables, which helps when you have people who think cables are for walking on. Not sure if the wire gauge is any thicker than the others, but at least the thick insulation protects them better. I also like the ability to open up the connectors, should I ever need to repair them. It's worth the extra money for these to get the repairability & heavy-duty-ness of these over most other competitor cables! Highly recommend!!

The gauge on these cables and build quality of the cable itself is fantastic, they serve its purpose well. The connectors are the weakest point on these, they’re not weak but they’re plastic and as long as you’re aware of this and don’t repeatedly step on them or drop things on the connectors these cables should last quite awhile.
I gave it four stars because of the connectors, if the connectors were as robust as the wiring it’s an easy five stars.

Probably overkill for what I'm using them for as they are not transported off-stage, but they have been nothing but reliable and clean. We have a lot of RF in the area and while it affects the wireless gear, we have never picked up any stray signals on mics with Pig Hog cables. Have been a user of PH for a few years now and have never had a problem.

I caught these on one of the Christmas sales and as our band needed some extras, I thought these looked pretty heavy duty. The pics don't do them justice at all. These are GIG ready. These are TOUR ready. I've owned some pretty crummy cables over the years, and seeing as I've just got these, that remains to be seen how they hold up, but compared to my other XLR cables, these are absolute units. There has got to be some amazing shielding in these things too because we were getting some power cable buzz at our last gig with our old cables, and I went ahead and plugged these in and it completely eliminated the buzz! The connection ends are really sturdy. Overall, I'm impressed by these and will buy these cables going forward.

This Pig Hog Cables are really awesome quality, love the flexible jacket, its durable and sound signal is clean.

These are the only cables we use at our church. We upgraded all of our xlr cables, and went with Pig Hog. We’ve never had a problem with any feedback, all the connections are tight, and I just love the cable. I look forward to years of use out of these cables. Will definitely buy again.

Best inexpensive cable available, you can hog tie hogs with them. I use eight of them on output side of multi 8 channel direct box under the most demanding conditions. I would marry whoever makes them, if they agreed of course.

These work just fine in my application and I have been happy with them. I have 2 of them run from my HeadRush to a pair of FRFR 108's ( guitar rig to powered guitar speakers). They are quiet, connections are snug, and they were definitely priced right. I am not dragging them around so I can't speak to their durability or road worthiness, but based on the sound quality and price I would probably use them for gigging also.

I stumbled across Pig Hog cables when AMS did a buy one, get one. I'm SO glad I got some; I'm a fan for life. Historically, I've been a Mogomi Gold guy, but based on feel, the Pig Hog cables are even more sturdy. I don't have years of road wear on them to give a complete testimonial, but they certainly do feel like they would live up to their slogan of being "tour grade". What a pleasant surprise to find a product that exceeds expectations.

We are a gigging band and almost all of my XLR cables are Pig Hog. They are heavy duty, clean and clear. Great warranty though I have never had to use it. You’re sound system is only as good as your cables. Start with Pig Hog and the rest will be easy!
I buy 90% of my gear through AMS for a few reasons. 1. They are quick, 2. They have good service, and 3. The payment plans work well for our band. Don’t be a-scared, buy Pig Hog through AMS. Peace...

Cant tell ya about this specific cord because the audio interface i ordered from your company to use the cord for is still on backorder. I was told before i ordered it that it should be in any day and that was over a week ago and its still not in. Ive called twice to make sure. By now i wouldve thought that i couldve gotten the next model up at little or no cost for my inconvenience but the offer hasnt been made.

This is a good quality cable, nice and heavy duty. But buyer beware lifetime warranty is only against manufacturers defective workmanship, not for normal wear and tear, or accidents, or failures do to usage, torn cover, etc. Read the warranty very carefully before you fall for lifetime warranty statement.

Purchased these when a couple mic cords died after being in service for only 90 days. In only 2 weeks of using these Pig Hog 8mm cables they have more than proven they're quality and build from outdoor gigs to local clubs and rehearsals and home studio use. With strain relief shrink on both ends, the connects are quality and have a positive lock and nice feeling latch button these will last years on the road.
I was so impressed with the mic cables I purchased Pig Hog's 8mm Instrument cables for all my guitar rigs they sound as good as my Mogami cables and I certainly don't worry about stepping on them onstage or rehearsals like I do with the more expensive cables. Pig Hog cables are built like tanks and sound great, Yep get yourself hold of some Pig Hog cables you'll be glad you did!

Got two of these 25fters on sale from American Musical and figured I'd give it a shot. Ran them at a live gig recently, cables are definitely rugged and connectors fit my gear nicely. I had them on mic stands, but they didn't like to fit under the guides on my stands so I'll likely be using them for the speaker mains from now on.
Honestly, seems like a well constructed cable.
Only reason I gave a 4star rating instead of 5 is that its so thick I had trouble using it for mic stand applications. Thicker rubber feels kind of nice in hand, but really kind of useless otherwise.

I stumbled unto these and really like them. We play around 80-90 shows a year and they hold up. They get stepped on, spilled on, rolled up and put away. And they last. The connectors are good and don’t turn into an oval for being squashed and stepped on. All around good microphone cable at an excellent price. I ordered two 50 footers during American Musical Supply’s two for one sale. They promised I’d have them in two days, in time for our weekend shows (at no extra charge). They got shipped to the wrong place somehow. They overnighted two more to me. Got them in time for our shows. Early the next week, the two that were lost came in. I called AMS and asked how they wanted me to ship them back, and they told me to keep them. Great people to do business with. I will continue to do so!

The convenience of the cable with the connectors and the endurance of the product is a great value. There is nothing about this cable I dislike I should have ordered more even though I really don't have any place to use them right now. I have had these cables now for a few months and it has held up and stood the test. It does more than meet my expectations because I wasn't sure about the product at first but this is one of the best choices of cables on the market.

I am thoroughly impressed with the Pig Hog XLR cable. I didn't think I would notice a difference between them and my older cable, especially in terms of sound quality but it is very noticeable. First and foremost, the Pig Hog feels like a high quality cable with its thickness and overall construction. I now want to swap out all of my old cables and go Pig Hog all the way. I had been daisy chaining 20-foot cables which can be problematic. It was very nice to get a pair of quality 50' cables at a great price to solve that issue. Have used Pig Hog cables in the past with excellent sound results. You may be able to get a moderately better cable, but not at this price.

I use Pig Hog cables in my recording studio as I no longer play professionally.
I wish I would've had cables of this quality when I started playing 33 years ago. I remember when a cable was just a cable. No one really thought about them. Then, Monster cables came out. They were good but too expensive. Pig Hog has the best quality available and a reasonable price.
My recordings have no noise at all and the sound quality is the best I've heard. I replaced all my cables with Pig Hog and will never buy any other brand.
