Subject:Cheap, Good But It is not a MACKIE Be clear about that!!
Quality: This produt is very well built. Very strong. I have bought one of the first versions of it and It has been used to amplify and record worship services in the First Baptist Church in ITATIAIA, Goiânia, GO BRAZIL for 3 years at least
Features: Its cheaper than the MACKIE or ALESIS. It does the JOB pretty well for small home studios and those of preproduction. I don't know about this newer version but our old one, We had to buy an expansion version of CUBASE in order to get all 18 channels in the PC.
Ease of Use: Very easy to use!! I mean I am talking about someone who is at least a one year trained tecnician
Sound: Tone is good overall problem is Gain not enough before starting to add noise. I did a bunch of tests and It has to be recorded without too much of mic excitment
Reliability: Just fine. It does need a cold place for the mixer to be in!! Don't use it in a hot weather such as Brazil or in great part of it otherwise it will go crazy!! It stops sending signals to computer adds clicks and pops and a bunch of noise and your recording section is gone!!
Overall: This product is great you just need to know how to deal with it spend some time and you'll be just fine

Subject:Well worth the money
Quality: This product is built very well and seems incredibly sturdy. I deducted a point based on the faders which seem a bit cheap, but they function well and have had zero problems.
Features: This unit actually uses the same exact chipset as the Mackie Onyx systems at less than half the cost! It also features pre/post switches on every channel. That is a feature that no other board has including the really deluxe Allen and Heath board! Add all that up with the fact that it's good for table mount or rackmount and this is one of the most versitile setups out there. I only deducted a point here because the group and aux's are setup a little quirky. They are still very usable though.
Ease of Use: All the primary features are very easy. If you have used any mixer you can operate this one. It gets a little tricky when dealing with group sends and monitors, but a quick read through the well laid out manual and it take's the guess work right out the window.
Sound: I have had many different types of AD/DA converters, and this sounds just as clear as some of the best! I compare the pre-amps to the clarity of PreSonus gear! I have noticed that at nearly peaking on the channels, there is just a little fuzz in the recordings. THis could be my mics, but I doubt it, as I have tried to isolate with several different types on single tracks at a time. This really isn't an issue though if you trim your channels in the green properly. There is plenty of headroom without reaching the fuzzy point.
Reliability: This has been in my studio now for a few months and only had a sync issue one time, but that was one of those times Windows was doing it's infamous auto-updates! It is solid and always seems to work. Most of the time while recording, I even forget to turn off periphs like anti-virus and it still works just fine. I have more issues with Sonar than with this unit!
Overall: This is by far the most usable firewire mixer available. I have compared it to the Mackie's, the Allen and Heath's, and the Yamaha's and wouldn't trade this straight across even at the price difference. I have even used it for live gigs where I wasn't even recording, just because of how portable it is in my rack! I simply roll in, hook up the snake and mics and I'm in business. All my effects are already setup on the various inserts and ready to go.

QUALITY:
The entire housing is very strong and durable. The equalizer knobs are all on very tight and feel sturdy. I think the gain controls could have been bigger so that you can really finely tune your raw input, but no complaints as it is about standard as everything else out on the market. I expect to have this for years and as they say "it's built like a tank".

FEATURES:
Obviously the biggest feature is the independent firewire channels for multi-track recording. With this model they added a switch to each channel up under the housing that lets you change the firewire signal from pre and post mix, which is really really nice. The 3 band equalizer does a great job by itself if your not running any insert equalizing at all. The added frequency dial really does a fine job in tuning your mics. I also really like the six aux sends and returns in which four of them have a master control. The digital effects are pretty fun to play with. The reverb is pr
