The capabilities of this DDJ-SX2 exceed it's price value. Only thing that bothered me was how long it took me to have my laptop communicate with it. I actually had to reinstall the firmware even though it was up to date. Now that everything has been solved, I am finally able to use it. It was the weekend so I was on my own or else I'm sure that technical support would've assisted me because AMS customer service is top notch!

I moved over from the Traktor S8 to Pioneer and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. Over all the controller is amazing, a beast. All the functions just perfect for what I need it for. Though its a little heavy and would make it harder to take from gig to gig, its still not so big you couldn't. I highly recommend this controller to anyone looking for a versatile controller that doesn't limit you to one DJ software.

Best table I had for the amazing price unless you ready to go and get the cdj2000, that will be my next set up. I just order a second one to battle with my Dj friends when they come over . My review is not about American Musical, I buy from them all the time. Their service is great. This product works fine until it broke after my 45 day return policy with AM ran out. The left platter do not backspin. I upgraded firmware and it still didnt work. I sent it in to pioneer and it took a month and a half to get it back. 30 days later it stop working again. Their customer support is horrible and if you buy one beware of support and getting this item fixed properly. They don't give replacement devices and the people you call are nasty and disrespectful. I will never buy another item from them again. Im looking at another company for a DJ set. Dont let the pretty lights fool you, the product support is so bad I will not give them my business ever again. Now I am out of a DJ set for another month or two and have to buy something else to keep my business going. I wish i could give this product support no stars but Ill deal with one star as provided.

I really love this controller. The only complaint I think that I can think of is that the platters are a little on the small side so my advice would be to purchase the DVS plug in from Serato and use with CDJs or 1200s. Best of both worlds!

I've been waiting for a long time for this to come out. It is a major improvement over the original version. I had issues with the SX because of the main output sound and the microphone pre amps. The SX also had issues with the jog wheels and other things that made a big difference with over all performance. I love the feel of the jog wheels it is a major improvement. The colored pads are just like the SZ. I originally pre ordered an SZ but returned it once I found out the SX2 was coming out. The SZ is too heavy and if you add the cause it eliminates the purpose of a controller which is to make it a light load and one man transportable. Plus I don't have a huge need for two usb ports and especially not at an additional $1,000. Plus the lack of having post fader effects on the SZ would reduce the performance too much. 99% of the differences between the SX2 and SZ most people will never use. The SZ price and features are only really justified in a nightclub environment.
