Previous to this I have not DJ’s in over 10 years, my equipment sat in storage till I moved. The pandemic happened and many of my DJ friends asked me to start DJing online (twitch). My mixer was outdated as was my serato. I felt to be competitive I would need to upgrade my mixer. Polling all my DJ friends, they all said that this was the best mixer out at the time. It has so many features, very easy to use, and comes with serato pro. Fader is buttery smooth and adjustable. The pads are large and soft to use. Easily switch out computers for club DJs and excellent sound input. I highly suggest!

I love this pioneer S9 mixer! I bought I with a PLX1000 and they go perfect. The cue pads are big and have a good feel to them. Pretty easy to get a hang of this mixer if you have had any other dj equipment. You’ll definitely feel the difference in the crossfader compared any other. My Favorite part about it is the Effects slots and how precise they are!

Being in the music industry for over 30 years off and on I have used every mixer from the beginning Radio Shack and pyramid to the present Rane mixers. The Pioneer S9 is in a league of its own! Things that stand out to me are the self tensioning of the fader by just a turn of a nob, to the never ending array of touch pad arrangement options to the independent effects banks solely to the Pioneer S9 with additional Serato effects located at the touch of a button directly on the mixer! Additional pluses are the on board loop commands and 2 effects toggle switches for both mixer channels that come in handy for quick start and stops of the effects. I also enjoy having a ton of options when it comes to line connections whether it be XLR,1/4 inch or RCA and did I mention the superb sound quality from this work of art. I’m very pleased of the sound investment in which I made by purchasing the Pioneer DJM S9. The only draw back in my opinion is not having a split cue for the headphones. Other then that one minimal thing the Pioneer DJM S9 is brilliant!

I've been using the Pioneer DJMS9 mixer for about 8 months now, and I can say that this mixer is meeting my expectations. I like the look and feel of the mixer. The 16 pads makes it easy to trigger cue points and samples when performing. There are several FXs which all sound really good. The mic channel also has its on effects channel. The carrying case is also a plus, and it helps protect your investment when traveling from gig to gig.

I've always used my buddies mixer, so i knew i needed my own. all the features at your fingertips, along with effects ready to go make your sets really stand out. The XO is also really smooth, so its good for cutting and scratching. I keep mine in a case at all times, so I'm sure this will last me a while. Please do yourself a favor and spend time learning all the effects to properly use them over the duration of your time with the mixer. It would be a cheat to yourself and this machine if all you do is have sound go through it, without properly using this mixer to its full potential.

I have had the djm s9 for 6months now and it is an absolute powerhouse. I use it for rider fulfillment and for Club gigs. It can take a beating and keep going. The paint on face plate does eventually start to chip and fade if it used for scratching but is easily replaceable. Faders and pads are super responsive.

I just upgraded from a Rane 62 to the Pioneer S9 and I have to say overall I really like it. The effects are so much better than the ones on the 62. The toggle switches are a sweet addition making it super simple to enable the effects. I also love how customizable it is through the software. The sound quality and overall build quality are great. My only issue is that the channel faders feel cheap compared to the crossfader and compared to my 62. In my opinion a mixer this expensive should have all high quality faders. I feel like over time I will have to replace them where I wouldn't with a Rane product.

I was considering the rane 72 but decided to go with the pioneer s9 only difference I see was just the build in screen and to reading others saying the cross fader was better on the s9 . And to much of a learning curve on the rane . So if your looking for a good battle mixer look no further than this one. It was a toss up between this and the Rane 72. I like the S9 for the simplicity. It’s easy to use and to the point. I love the echo/reverb effects and the crossfader is the smoothest i’ve tried. My scratches are more polished on the S9 due to the crossfader curve and feel adjustment.

As a mix/blend/scratch DJ, this mixer does everything I need it to do. Coming from a NI Traktor Z2, the learning curve was actually pretty easy. Definitely love having the 8 hotcue/sampler pads on each side and the effects are easily accessible. Have done 5 gigs with this mixer and it's one of the best investments I've made.

This is my favorite piece of gear I own right now! I mix 6 hours a week on the radio and this mixer makes it a very smooth and easy process to get it done. With the different banks to hold drops plus all the easy to use effects, makes this mixer a must have! The pads and faders are top notch and the layout it’s very intuitive. If you are in the market for a mixer, you can’t wrong with the S9!

The Pioneer DJMS9 is a beast on every level from the adjustable crossfader tension to the precise FX and EQ kill. I also own the Rane 72 and the S9 has a much more buttery smooth crossfader and FX Depth. The S9 has a tap button for precision FX and the 72 does not. The Pioneer DJMS9 is the best 2 channel mixer out right now! Highly Recommend!!

I had been debating for a long time about this mixer but I finally pulled the trigger & it is well worth it. I had been using an older Vestax mixer with my 1200's & finally made the adjustment to Serato for my 1200's. This is the best DJ Mixer I’ve own to date. All of the features I need are right in front of me. I.e. effects, cue pads, toggle, and loop functions. At this price point, I was a little scared in buying and replacing my Native Instruments Kontrol Z2, knowing that this was just a carbon copy of the Z2, but for Serato users. AMS is just so good with their marketing, promotions, and ease of purchasing that I decided to add this mixer to my arsenal. Unbelievable buy! Unlike the Z2, there are 8 pads instead of 4 on board. There are 2 USB ports for seamless transitioning between DJ's without stopping the party. This mixer is beautifully built and tons of professional features available. With 24 years under my belt, I can say that Pioneer has delivered on their promise and Serato has regained my trust. This mixer is for anyone looking to become a DJ or the veteran DJ. I'm very pleased overall!

This is by far the best mixer I've ever had or worked on! Everything from the FX knobs, the Que pads, the curve on the fader and channels and everything else this mixer has is on point! I still favor my 1200's so this mixer is the perfect mixer but still combines the effects that my dicers or any controller has! My son is a DJ and recently he was diagnosed with Meningitis. He was hospitalized for over 2 weeks and with the care from the doctors and a lot of PRAYER he survived and was released to celebrate his 33rd birthday. He of course told me I didn't have to get him anything, he was just blessed to be alive, but I knew this was something that he had been wanting, but was not able to afford. Big buttons and knobs make it easy to navigate.

Still trying everything that this mixer can do but based off of what I learned so far it is well worth the money. Works with both Serato and Rekordbox. You can plug and play or Midi Map to have the controls function the way you want. It’s made of plastic with a metal faceplate so it feels light but it’s built like a tank. Fader move like butter and you can adjust the tension. This is the go to mixer for any DJ.

This is every old school DJs' dream. What use to be a bunch of gears needed to get extra creative in now in a single unit. I'm aware that this unit has been around for sometime now. I've been hearing great stories about it which led me to try it, and eventually to buy it. Sound pricey but it's actually not - considering the very usable and exciting features it has. To be honest i didn’t plan on getting this mixer because i was so set in on waiting for the Rane 72 that is coming out but it is so user friendly that I’m glad i made the decision to get this mixer.... coming from a controller to this mixer. This mixer gives you the exact same feel but better. You don’t have to worry about slamming the cross fader to hard and damaging it because you have so much control over it... you can set it to be loose or stiff depending on your preference then they have the pads for ur samples and your rolls and your cue point and the extra effect that are built into the board just make it a A++. Out of a 5 our of 5 i give this mixer a solid 5.... Pioneer really out did themselves i would recommend this mixer to anyone looking for a mixer the price isn’t bad at all. It is worth every penny.

I love the mixer. The fader tension adjustment and bigger pads sold me on this! The fader is butter. Came from the Rane 62 and the fader is better in this. I can do scratches that I couldn't do before.The effects are really nice and there is so many different effects that you can program to the mixer.
Cons- Wish they would have put a metal housing on this instead of plastic. However It's nothing that a flight case can't fix. The faceplate and fader knobs paint get worn very fast. I just threw on a 12 inch face plate to take care of that.

I've been in the game a long time and struggled excepting digital from the analog days do to the quality negotiation.
Then God created Pioneer DJMS9.. This is all the worlds colliding together just for ME! Yupp... I said it and because Pioneer needs to make money I'll share.
**Ideal points:
-Mix w/o laptop and still add effects to your mix (For the vinyl heads like myself) (DEF. +)
-Rugged Mixer Rubber bumper guards protects your knobs
-A&B 2-laptop ability
-Crossfader is like butter has adjustments for all the pro scratchers
-Effects Flip Toggle sw. ability is off the chain..
-Sound quality is BEASTMODE
-Effect control is like rolling with a mini studio
-JUST A GREAT, GOOD LOOKING MIXER

I am at work looking at my FedEx tracker waiting for mine to be delivered today...I help a friend set his S9 up this past weekend...as soon as I felt the cross fade all I could do was say wow....it was smooth and the cuts were really clean and crisp...Thanks AMS

This dj mixer is the Michael Jordan of all mixers! The overall layout is very clean and easy to navigate. The mixer isn't all that heavy compared to rane mixers. I love the color layout of the controls and pads. I've been a pioneer lover since I had the Pioneer DJm909 and this mixer truly is built for any style of dj club, scratch, and production. I love American Musical you guys make it easy for DJ's who don't wanna spend $2000 upfront to own topic the line equipment on a month to month payment plan.

It's great I love that you can use this as a mixer to blend seamlessly and then use it as scratch mixer
