Simple yet effective

Your general opinion of this product.
Still trying to decide how much it is coloring my tone. Not bad, just...different. Playing a MIM Strat into an Orange Jim Root Terror through an Epi Valve Jr cab. Had to move the Fulltone Fat Boost from before the P-Rock to after...I guess that's why they call it a "compressor." The sustain is ethereal. The "grit" switch gives the sweetest growl. This replaced a Boss Dyna Drive and the upgrade is massive. It plays nice with my CAE MC-404 wah, Malekko Ekko, vintage MIJ Boss Chorus and Tech 21 Boost RVB. At the "scratch and dent" price I paid it was a STEAL!
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Very lightweight but the pedal engagement is firm and reliable. Would be nice to be able to engage the "grit" switch remotely. Hate the location of the 9V input...
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Switches and knobs work well. It's pretty...
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
How was the action out of the box?
Better than the action in the box.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Looks new...not "scratch and dent."
How has it stood up over time?
Survived a tough first week with aplomb!
