First stick is dark wood with tight grain, is one gram heavier, has a higher pitch and less rebound. The second stick is blond wood with loose grain and a lot of rebound. I've never seen sticks this far apart. I hope it's just a one off and not the future for pro mark.

Just got these in today, played about an hour or so. I bought them because I wanted vinyl tips for playing on a practice head [that I also just bought from AMS]. I prefer hickory sticks to maple, anyway, and this pair has a good, solid feel to them. Only an hour in so far, but I'm really liking these and guess that you will, too.

The kids love the drums and the sticks and I’m so happy I chose to buy from you guys!! They sound great and I feel like they will last for a long time!! The only issue was I was missing one of the securing rings for the bass drum but we had an older set I took one off of and luckily it fit!!!! If you want to send me a ring that matches the drums though that would be great!!!

My son was breaking pairs of drum sticks left and right until I bought these for him. These sticks hold up even to rim shots, heavy cymbal usage and some accidental tom tom rim shots ;) I'm amazed at the life in these sticks!

Over the years, I've played every major brand of sticks. Pro-Mark rates lower on my scale due to inconsistent weight between same model sticks, and the straightness has been an issue with about 20% of the Pro-Marks I've used.

Good hard wood provides good sound solid feel. No noticable stick vibration.
