This thing is Superman. If you dropped it you could break your foot. Pro Co always makes good pedals and this one isnt different
FEATURES:
True bypass is the best doesnt change your tone when turned off. The casing is cool too.
EASE OF USE:
Easy to use took me 5 minutes to find a few sounds i liked.
VALUE:
Worth the price. I would sell a kidney to get this pedal again if i lost it.
SOUND:
i love the sound. its like tube distortion. i like how the signal breaks apart when i turn the distortion up all the way

| I have an original Rat. I have had it for over 20 years. It has been dropped on concrete floors, bounced down stairs, gotten wet, been kicked, stomped on and run over by a car. It still works fine! I have used it to play heavy metal, weddings, and everything in between. If you play with the controls a little a Rat will give you any kind of distortion or overdrive you want. It is bulletproof and can do almost anything...just like Superman.
It is the only dist./od pedal I use.

ProCo Rat is top notch from the Inside out - 100% Professional Grade Parts and Assembly - I expect this to last a Long Time - I wish the Power Supply was standard - The best feature is the tone - very distinctive

Very easy - Distortion blends well with effects - you can achieve a lot of sounds with different settings - very versatile

The sound is great - I took the stock chip out and installed a metal can LM308 like in the vintage rats - The tone is nw smooth, full and more tube like - I set the gain at 40% and the filter is set for some bite with moderate volume - I run this through a Marshall JCM900 with 6L6 Power tubes - I use a custom Mahogany Hamer with Dimarzio Fred Pups - Super Smooth, Dynamic British tone - It sounds great alone and mixes well | |
