I've been a PRS player for 25 years and the quality is obviously off the charts, the guitar is comfortable and balanced so when you're doing 3 or 4 hour gigs you don't wake up the next day feeling like you need to go see the chiropractor. I've had this guitar just about a month now and have played it on like 12 gigs and feel like it's already part of me. Tuning stability and the pickups have always been a huge part of PRS's appeal and that sure hasn't changed over the years

I absolutely love my Paul Reed Smith CE24 in Blue Matteo!! It’s my dream guitar everything came on time and the guitar was flawless no scratches, the intonation was perfect, action is amazing and the 85/15 pickups sound awesome! I would definitely recommend buying the PRS CE24 to anyone it’s the best guitar I’ve ever played in my life!!

This is a beautiful guitar and if it were 1000$ it would be well worth it. For 2300$ though I would like to have some inlays that don't look like cheap plastic and not have fret buzz. The buzz could be fixed with a set up but for 2300$ I feel like it should come set up. On the back the slots for the cover plates are not routed so they just sit on top. Not a deal breaker but this does make it look a little incomplete. Overall it sounds great minus the fret buzz. I'd say no better than a se model and not worth the extra money unless you just want a bolt on neck. I prefer bolt on or through necks which is why I bought the ce but I plan to return it and either get an ernie ball music man or an American strat.

Thank You AMS for making buying this wonderful guitar easier. The 12 payment plan made this purchase a no brainer. Now, on to the guitar. This guitar sounds and plays fantastic. I own an S2 McCarty and an S2 custom 22 semi hollow body. They are both great guitars that play and sound fantastic but my new CE is definitely a step up for only about $250. This CE has amazing clarity and note definition. The tone is a little beefier than a Strat but a little brighter than a Les Paul. I own 4 American Strats and 2 Gibson Les Pauls but I prefer my CE hands down. PRS workmanship is impeccable. Fit and finish and playability are 2nd to none. The Blue Matteo finish is gorgeous! The neck is very comfortable wit a satin finish. The tone cuts right through the mix. If you are thinking about buying one of these guitars, go ahead and make the purchase. I did and was blown away!

I purchased one of the very original Paul Reed Smith guitars way back in 1986, if I remember correct the serial number was #107. I then went on to play Les Paul's and Tele's for years. Returning to my roots with another PRS has been like coming home. The playability and smoothness of these guitars is second to none. This CE24 is just a joy to play, beautiful sustain, rich tones and the feel of the neck is classic PRS quality.

As with all the American made instruments i have owned, the PRS CE24 is a great feeling, awesome sounding WELL CRAFTED instrument!!! I thank PRS for creating a model that is of the HIGHEST quality for a price I can live with! Awesome guitar! Well balanced, the neck is as smooth as butter, and when i tuned it up out of the box, it was ready for a gig that night! I did have a tech set it up for a few of my personal tastes, (string gage, tuning, and a very slight drop in the action.) Super stoked! This is a dream instrument, and I'm proud to say I own a PRS! After ordering and returning a Gibson SG that was a poor representation of a 2k instrument! The quality down right sucked! Frets were long and sharp, it even still had glue all over it. So, I decided to checkout PRS instead. The CE24 in whale blue that I received is absolutely stunning. The quality and craftsmanship of that guitar is just amazing!
I’ve had it for 1 week now and have really grown to like it a lot already. The sound is not like my Les Paul or SG But snappier crispier, it’s had to put into words.
All in all, After a pro setup, an awesome guitar, I’m glad I jumped in! Love it!
Once again AMS deserves credit too for making one dream a reality in the now, with the awesome payment plans they offer! Thank you AMS

This guitar was ready for play right out of the box! The neck ultra smooth and fast while the bolt on allows for a certain punchiness that can only be experienced by having this guitar. The slick finish makes you want to play it for days with tonal array with the pickups synergestic with the woods. Many PRS models in the studio and this one has its place! The gig bag was basic and would recommend a getting a different bag or Hardshell for travel and storing. Applause the AMS team for being awesome over the years!

I had been playing acoustic guitar for years and then decided to buy an electric guitar. For a couple of months I watched lots of YouTube videos on different electric guitar. I made sure I listened to the pros and conns of each instrument. This included consistent workmanship , playability, and tone of the pickup combinations. I discovered the PRS was the most consistent. The next decision was which one. I chose the PRS CE 24 because of affordability and made in America quality. I was hoping this would be the only electric guitar I would by. When I got it I couldn't put it down! The workmanship is great. The bird inlays are beautiful. The locking tuners help keep the guitar in tune and consistent.The smoothness and action of the neck was perfect.Not too thick and not too flat. the tummy cut is just rightThe pickups were clear and very tone-full. I took it to the high school I teach guitar at and my students loved it's sound and playability. They wanted me to bring it to school every day. They had to settle for Fridays.
I've had it almost a year and I have no desire to buy another electric guitar. Like my other previous 13 items I purchased, I chose to buy my PRS from www.americanmusical.com. Great prices, Great instruments and a wonderful payment plan!

I mean it is what it is, a beautiful and well made guitar. I really like the weight of it. Being a Les Paul guy, this guitar is so light compared to my Gibson. My only complaint is that when you buy online you cannot see the tiger pattern in the maple top. Mine really wasn’t very “good” compared to other CE tops that I have seen. Being able to physically hold and look before buying a $2000.00 guitar would have probably been a good idea. But that’s not AMS’s fault by no means. I couldn’t have gotten this guitar without AMS’s awesome payment system.
Only giving 4 stars because my flame/tiger patterns were not as defined as I would have liked, still a BEAUTIFUL guitar though!

This is my first PRS guitar purchase. I have several Fender Strats and a few Gibson’s in my collection. The first thing I noticed was the set up. Typically I completely re-set up a new guitar to specs I like for the particular model. Rarely do I not adjust everything as newer guitars settle in a bit. I opened up this one and went through everything. Neck bow was perfect, Trem was perfect. Intonation was perfect. I played it for a bit and then lowered the action 1/64th. Checked the intonation after that and done. I doubt I’ll touch the pick up height as it sounds amazing and the volumes are all consistent. Those 85-15 pick ups are incredible sounding. With the split coil control this guitar is incredibly tone versatile. One of the first things I noticed was the feel of the neck. They call it satin but it almost feels raw. Very comfortable and smooth finish. The profile feels great as well. The quality of the fret work is absolutely top notch. This model was very well thought out like most of the PRS guitars I’ve played before. Regarding the many comments about sending this out with a gig bag. I agree. This is a professional’s instrument and should be sent with a case. That being said I bought a Gator Journeyman strat/Tele style with it and it fits alright. I’ll probably find another use for the Gator and spring for the PRS case. The Gator is a nice case but it’s not a perfect fit for the CE 24. Dollar for dollar this may be the best guitar in my collection.

Well (American) made instrument. Great tone options. Beautiful and easy to play. This guitar would be a welcome choice for many genre's. It has its own identity, one that you will want to know. Like so many, price point notwithstanding, a gig bag although well made should probably be replaced with the appropriate hard shell for a guaranteed long life. A broken neck from a fall would translate into a broken heart. Finally, AMS was spot on from order and support to delivery. They are the best!

Well what can I say? This thing is absolutely gorgeous. It plays great sounds great the quality is amazing. Fit and finish are impeccable. The price is great for the what you get. My only complaint and this is being nit picky is for 2 grand you could throw in a hardshell case. I’ve had this guitar for only a few weeks but I absolutely love it. Stays in tune even when using the bar. The pickups sound excellent and the split coil function really makes this guitar so versatile. Definitely worth the money. The paint job is gorgeous it’s balanced really well it’s just a quality guitar. I gave it four stars because in my opinion nothing is perfect.

Great guitar. Love the nitro satin neck on this guitar, feels nice and worn in. The fit and finish is top notch. I also have a PRS SE custom 24 which I also love. The CE is not 2x better than the SE but there are some noted improvements. The pickups on the CE sound to have slightly better clarity, not a major difference. The tuners on the CE are much better. I would say fit and finish are very close on both models which is outstanding. I own a fender custom shop guitar and I would say the fit and finish is on par with the CE and SE. If you already own an SE the CE although a great guitar is not a huge upgrade. I will be keeping both. If you can comfortably afford the upgrade to the CE I would say go for it, but if the price of the SE is easier to swallow I don’t think you should feel like your missing out.

This axe has it all. It can do whatever you need it to do. I play in a cover band that covers every genre and this gets the job done every night while looking beautiful! The neck is perfect to me. The 85/15 pickups are perfect in my opinion. They have the all around tone I need and the split coil feature is way more useable than other splits I’ve used in the past. I understand the gripe about not getting a case for $2000 spent but when you see and play this beast you’ll understand why!! Do yourself a favor and jump on one you’ll love it!

I had a PRS CE24 in the 1990’s but had to sell it. With the AMS payment plan I now own the re-issued CE24. It’s better than I remembered. The sound is there with new splittable pick ups. The playability is astounding. Guitar player friends have come out to gigs and decided they need the new PRS CE24 in their arsenal. Thanks AMS for making this possible.

Let me start with the way I received the guitar. The shipping was fast and packaged really well. American Musical really gave me the confidence to make sure I make future purchases directly from them. The second I pulled the guitar from the box I was in love. PRS is known for their gorgeous guitars and this one is no exception. This is easily the most comfortable electric guitar I’ve played on. I’m a lefty player and I’ve always played right handed guitars flipped upside down. With other guitars I have a little trouble reaching the higher frets because of the cutaway when flipped upside down but not on the CE 24. I can reach the highest fret with no problem at all and don’t even get me started on the neck. It’s super comfortable to hold and for lead players like me you’d be hard pressed to find a neck as fast as this one. Perfect score from me a perfect and beautiful 5 out of 5.

This guitar was a pretty easy choice for me. I've owned several PRS guitars over the years but I really like bolt-on necks. I bought one in February and it was absolutely perfect. Great balance, the satin finish on the neck is silky smooth and it's a joy to play. I saw that American Musical was offering special financing on these so I bough a second guitar with a different finish and they are my main gigging guitars now. Both guitars were shipped quickly and were perfect and gig-ready right out of the case! I highly recommend these as a good, solid working guitarist's axe!

Many moons ago I purchased a PRS Custom 24 10top and loved it. Life got in the way and I was in a position I had to sell about 13 years ago. This past November I decided it was time to rectify my regrets. I purchased this CE 24 and have been so very impressed. This guitar is warm and wonderful, like an old friend. The sonic combinations are plentiful with the split coils and selectors. Do yourself a favor and check one of these out. You won’t be disappointed.

I wanted this guitar for years, now its mine. I had to wait till my kids grew up to get one lol. Its everything I expected. I owned a couple of the se models and there good little guitars and its hard to believe that theres that much difference in the American made, but it is. different feel, weight, sound. You just have to get your hands on one and see. And these guys at AMS will make it easy for you. I got online and found the one I wanted and in 2 days it was in my hands. I could not believe how easy it was and the one you see in the picture, make sure you like it, because that's the one you will get. the serial number is the same. First of all the Korean tuners and taillpiece work great.They lock down the strings well,stay in tune and the whammy bar functions much better than a Fender.As far as the guitar goes it’s a great sounding guitar as well as a great value.It actually has a useable coil-tap that doesn’t sound thin.The neck pickup gives you a great,clean articulate jazz sound and the bridge is full but cuts through the mix and in humbucker mode very powerful for great distorted tones.The most versatile guitar I have ever owned and the craftsmanship is incredible.Way to go PRS and thanks AMS for the nice discount and payment plan You both rock!

the guitar itself is a work of art. was playable with little tuning. my son loves his birthday gift that took too long to come in. took one star off due to the time i receive the product. it was on back order and when the time came for it to ship it was back order to another date. i had cancel two orders just to get one in stock. i understand they don't know what comes in from the guitar company but don't have back order statues with dates you can not honor.

This is just an amazing instrument. Well worth every penny. I looked at many high end guitars but the PRS CE 24 is a mind blower and Photos do not do it any justice once you hold and play one. This beauty can stand up to all genres of music easily. Tone and harmonics are fantastic. Thanks PRS for an amazing instrument. Top notch all the way.

This is my first PRS and I am very impressed. The quality of these instruments reminds me of the good old days back when the smaller companies (Carvin, G&L, etc) put the emphasis on quality builds to differentiate themselves from the rest.
Fit and finish is spot on. I got mine as a Minor Blemished product, and it took me about 4 hours to finally find what "may" have been the reason it was returned and it had nothing to do with appearance or playability.
It's brighter than a set neck instrument, but not as twangy as a Strat or Tele. It's full sounding, but not like a Les Paul. It has its own unique sound. The pickups are very responsive and overdrive well.
The Pattern Thin neck is very comfortable to my average size hands. It has a unique feel to it. It's not thin and wide like a Jackson or Ibanez. I'd say its more like an early 80's Carvin.
This is a great sounding, playing, and looking guitar. I am very happy with it and you will be too.

I would not have been able to purchased this guitar from AMS if not for the interest free 12 payment plan offered, I’m sure this helps many other people own fine instruments. SOUND: I like the clarity and punch from this guitar, it doesn't sound like a Fender or a Gibson, it has it’s own signature sound. Because of the guitar’s clarity it sounds great when used with FX. I’m very pleased with it’s sound and versatility. CONSTRUCTION: I own three PRS core guitars and they're instruments I don’t have any interest in putting up for sale, and this CE 24 is no exception. Was apprehensive when I ordered this guitar since it was on back order and didn’t get a chance to see a picture of it, but when the shipment arrived what I saw did not disappoint. The fit and finish is as good as the other core guitars I own, enough said. I must say for a bolt on neck guitar the neck is fitted to the body with such precision you'd think it was glued on. The only things I changed on the guitar was replace the strap buttons with strap locks, and lower the action just a bit to my liking. Because of the CE 24 scale length of 25” I plan to set it up on 9s for extra string bending. I’ve owned many Gibson guitars even a Custom Shop ES335 and they all needed work to get them to play right, perhaps they could learn a thing or two from PRS. IN CONCLUSION: I still think American made Fender guitars are the best value in a guitar for under $1,000 if you like sound they produce, but at $2,000 the CE 24 is well worth investment. I’m putting up for sale two of my Gibson LPs.

I fell in love with this guitar while scrolling through the trampas green serial numbers for sale. I also purchased the paisley case. This guitar doesn't belong in a gig bag. The sound is amazing. Coil tap makes this thing super versatile. Like someone else mentioned, there is no loss of volume when using the single coil setting. Even the back of my guitar is beatiful. Thank you AMS for making it possible for me to finally own a PRS! I've wanted one for over a decade!

This is a superb playing and sounding instrument, very comfortable neck, the body contours are much more comfortable than most guitars, the coil split is actually useable unlike most guitars, not sure how PRS does it but there is no volume loss like less Paul's, all in all truly a dream guitar, now I need a few more colors, by the way the tops are beautiful and the finish is truly a mirror finish

I love this guitar. It stays in tune, the action is perfect and it sounds awesome. To anyone worried about the s2 tuners and se bridge forget about it. It stays in tune better than my ESP e2 with a fixed bridge. The 85/15 pickups are the most versatile pickups I've heard. From classic rock to metal. I highly recommend his guitar.

I have owned me Classic Electric 24 since 1989! It has been through hell and back (had the original case burned of in a fire, sprayed by a fire hose during winter, stolen, pawned, impounded by police then returned to me 6 months later). It has been ever faithful and ever beautiful both the way it sounds, the way it plays and looks. She is my "holy Grail". Tough guitar!
