Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I wouldn't consider it to be well made since it's NEVER worked....Presonus Tech Service is crappy too....they ask you to email and it takes days for them to respond to you(what about phone or IM?????), they had me going thru all these steps to try and get it to work, bought a 'bilingual firewire cable' that didn't correct the problem. The problem being the box keeps crashing, won't maintain conectivity and on the Presonus website 'knowledge base', where you can read about REAL issues with this thing,it's a known issue with Presonus. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I thought with the inputs it would be great... Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? It doesn't work..it worked for a few months, then it just started crashing! Value Was this item an overall good value? What features would you add to this product if you could? I can use it as my default audio instead of having to use my green audio jack. I hate switching my headphones from one jack to another just to use an audio interface. Also the multi-track recording is awesome.! Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? Pretty easy. I didn't use the Presonus Artist, I used my Cubase Essential 5 and it works great like a charm! Also the Presonus Universal Control software is easy to set up. When you set up the box make sure to use the software to chain the headphone output from mono to stereo if you want to use pan Value Was this item an overall good value? It's a decent value, wished it was cheaper since this has been around for a long time. 50 bucks off is not enough. Should have been $199. Appearance Appearance The blue LED light is awesome! Not too small not too big. :)

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Made well. Seems solid to me. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? Firewire 400. I run my firewire drive off the second fw output. Multiple inputs. I normally just use the XLR's as I'm just playing guitar parts through it. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? Easy to use. Digital Performer 7 with a 13 inch Macbook Pro, no issues. Set your gain level and your monitor levels and your good. Value Was this item an overall good value? Awesome value. I would've liked to owned some of the higher end interfaces, but for my current situation of being away from home a lot, this is great. Appearance Appearance Not that it really matters, but it kind of matches my Mac, lol.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Great Build and no problems. It took a little while to get working, but once rolled back legacy drivers and used Asio4all. It worked fantastic on windows 7 64bit! Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? Sound is great. I have used a lot of low-mid end interfaces and this beats em. I can dial in the the same settings on the pres for the mic easy! Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? Straight forward to use. If your new to recording its not to difficult to figure out. I dont use the software that comes with it because I use others! Value Was this item an overall good value? This is a great value for the low $ and would recommend it to anyone! I would by from AMS any day! I rated it a 4 because initially I tried to get it working on the friday night (no luck). The weekend on Saturday I happened to get ahold of ams tech support the which was available out of the ordinary on a saturday afternoon which was very helpful. We got it resolved. Thank You! Appearance Appearance It came with a little chip of blue paint missing on volume knob(I didn't want to send back). But the unit still looks great,and is compact. Works on mac and pc. It runs warm on pc but tech support said theirs did also. The Ams support and Presonus support was very helpful in helping me getting this unit running!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The quality of the interface is pretty good. I've had it since December and it has been treated rather rough but is still working great. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? This interface has some nice features for a mobile unit. Two mic preamps and midi are nice for a small interface. If you really want to be mobile with this interface your laptop needs to have a 6 pin firewire connection so the interface will run of the computer's power. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? The physical interface was easy to setup. The instruction manual was skimpy to say the least and PreSonus' website wasn't much better. The software Studio One Artist leaves a lot to be desired. A manual isn't available for the software so it has been a lot of trial and error to learn how the software works. Value Was this item an overall good value? I rated the value a 3 and that is because of the software. If you want to master your recording you can't do it with Studio One Artist. Want to create a CD or MP3 of your recording? Can't be done with Studio One Artist. To get the above mentioned features you have to upgrade to Studio One Professional for $299. If I had known that going in I probably would have purchased a different interface. Appearance Appearance I like the way this interface looks. The metering on the front is nice.
