Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This product is really dependable and durable to withstand even a mobile studio. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I love the XMAX Preamps. The headroom is amazing on these. I also love the six outs for monitoring. I also like the fact that you can link this to a studio live board and have 8 extra inputs for recording purposes. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? I am still learning this product but I like how it is basically a plug and go. You have a few little adjustments you have to do for Pro Tools but it is nothing that difficult. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I love this product. I use this at home to overdub vocals and instruments from live recordings and the quality is amazing. Value Was this item an overall good value? Great bang for the buck! Appearance Appearance sleek!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Metal chasis, micro-notched metal knobs, crystal clear display ... very well-made. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I'm using it as an interface-only, but it's fully loaded with everything you need to record and mix quality audio. Best feature is the pristine-sounding preamps: there's no hint of noise, even at higher gain settings. More I/O than most home/project studios will ever need, but also the ability to daisy chain just in case. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? Had to wait a week for a 400/800 FireWire adapter for my Mac, but otherwise, I simply loaded the disc, downloaded the drivers and was up-and-running in 3 minutes. Literally. Simple and elegant, just the way it should be. Value Was this item an overall good value? Priced a little high, but good value for the money. Noiseless preamps are priceless, so eight of 'em in one unit is pretty good. Appearance Appearance Looks like a pro piece of outboard gear.

I would like to see pre.sonus come out a larger fader work station. As to features to add to this product adat would have been what I would have added. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? I formerly used ProTools, Studio Artist is more fun to use. Value Was this item an overall good value? With the included Studio One Artist, wonderful value. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This thing withstands frequent moving from my home studio to band practice with no problems. When I fist got it I did have one time where it did not work when I turned it on but that may have been my computer. I restarted it and it worked perfectly. Other than that it has never let me down. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? The XLR, 1/4" combo inputs on the front make things easy to connect what ever you want. There area effects loops (send and returns) for inputs 1 & 2 which are the instrument inputs. I like those allot and wish there were more on the other channels. The preamps seem to have plenty of headroom and the LEDs for each channel is cool. The phantom power is grouped in pairs instead of one switch for the whole thing which I also relly like. The headphone amp is loud and clear. It comes with a mixer software but I have not used it. I looked at it and it looks like it would be easy to use but I just don't need it for what I am doing. I do need more channels and I think I will be getting another one and connecting them together with the fire wire connection. Overall I am very happy with this interface. How playable do you consider this product to be? I think this was easy to set up and very easy to use. The manual was fine but if you need more help the videos on presonus.com were helpfull also. It is nice to have something so uncomplicated. It makes it easy to record quickly with no fuss. Value Was this item an overall good value? I didn't find anything else in this price range with the same amount of features. I am pleased with the quality of the recordings I get with this. Appearance Appearance It just looks cool with all those LEDs bouncing around while recording. The blue LEDs glowing when the phantom power is on makes it easy to remember to turn it off when I change from a condenser to a dynamic mic.
