Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The best features are the features. IMHO SO2 Pro is the most feature-rich, flexible, and powerful DAW on the market for the money. Consider what you get for your $300: pro-quality effects, Guitar Rig, Meloydne, large suite of virtual instruments, adequate editing tools, and a mastering suite, plus SoundCloud support. One feature it lacks that it needs is video support in the 64-bit version.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Considering I didn't get into DAWs for a long time because so many had huge learning curves and were so difficult to set up to work properly, SO2 is as easy as pie to set up and record with. I was recording within 5 minutes of the install. It took one trip through the manual and about 3 songs recorded and I found and am using all the features I need. There are more discoveries to make but I had the meat and potatoes down cold very quickly.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
The only thing SO2 Pro needs at this point is more powerful editing (a la Pro Tools), putting EZ Drummer back in, and at least one video track per song in all versions. Even if it raised the price another $100 to do that it would still be a huge bargain.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
SO2 Pro is an incredible value, and a breath of fresh air in an age where we keep paying more and keep getting less.
