Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Great Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? The EQs are true and the effects are amazing. I love the capture function where you can save settings and recall them for another song. The copy and load feature is a huge plus as well. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? I am a huge fan of the whole "Digital Board with analog feel" thing. It's so easy to mix with this board. Would recommend 100 times over its other digital counterparts. Sound How is its Tone? Awesome Reliability How has it stood up over time? A+++ Overall Your general opinion of this product. Can't say enough good things about this board. The first weekend I got it I almost sold about 4 to fellow bands.
Great live digital mixer and records well also!!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It feels solid, as solid as any other analog or digital mixer out there. Faders feels the most delicate but their response and operation seems high quality. Everything else is build to last. I work my stuff pretty hard and have no fear this won't keep up. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? ONE OBSERVATION: The mixer case that everyone (including AMS) sells bundled with this board DOES NOT FIT!!! The SKB Pop-Up Rackmount ATA Mixer Case - 12 Space, it will not lower into the case, the metal bracket which the pop-up partrests on, gets in the way and will hit the XLR's and other hardware on the board. Instead I sent it back and traded it in (AMS's return policy is awesome) for an SKB Gig Safe 14U. And yes it will mount in the gig safe and you still have plenty of room to plug everything in as well as having some storage space for the manual, firewire and XLR cables in the back and underneath. No matter what case you get, it will be big so don't think you can do better unless you just want a case to housae it and pull it out for every gig with no extra space, I prefer to leave it in. If I drop a $2000 mixer because I wanted to go small on the case, I deserve what happens! Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? The FAT channel is a great idea and the fact that it not only pertains to the individual 16 channels but also the aux's, busses and mains makes it that much more useful. Be careful of updating the firmware, it will lose your saved scenes and depending on how much of a firmware change it is, it can even screw up the "zero-out" feature. Had to go back and zero out the board and save it to another preset, the zero preset is screwed! Sound How is its Tone? Great sound, great Presonus dynamic processorsand effects. It is a great smaller digital console and for the price, you won't beat it. The comparable Yamaha is more expensive and not as easy to use. Great preamps, effects, dynamics, very well thought out. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Presonus is near impossible to get in touch with, I've emailed, left messages and had no response. If you are counting on them to solve any problems, just forget it, they are no where to be found after the purchase. Overall Your general opinion of this product. For under $2000, you cannot get into a digital mixer of this caliber. It has so many features that you would normally expect and then some. If you are worried about understanding it compared to an analog mixer, don't worry they have made it easy and their manual is pretty good as well as their discussion groups. Just do not expect to get Presonus on the phone or to respond to email, I really believe they don't check the phone messages or emails.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The build of the board is solid, mostly metal. The faders feel slightly toy-like, but they are deceptively responsive. The input connectors are solid, and the fact you can mount this in most 12 space racks is useful and lends to the long life of the board. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? The fat channel is amazing, nothing less. Gorgeous and very musical preamps, smooth compressors and clean gates, and a very in depth EQ, and they're all channel specific. The built in effects sound natural and detailed, and they get the job done for most general applications. The routing leaves just a small bit to be desired, but again, the price tag is so low, you can't quite expect VENUE type routing. The rack-mount allows you to do permanent installs, and with a little creativity, a highly portable all in one master rack for a mobile venue. Just flip a switch, plug in, and rock - all in under 10 minutes with a previous soundcheck and a saved scene. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? Even without the manual, I found myself executing a mix that perfectly suited the tastes of the band for their in-ears and sounded fantastic in-house. The finer points, such as iPad control and linking to the included Capture software took some one on one time with the user's guide, but a few hours later it was very intuitive. Sound How is its Tone? Jaw dropping - my bass came alive, my vocals cut through pleasingly, and my guitars roared and chimed like a dream. The subgroups are a nice nod to the features of much larger boards, and give you some nice options for a unique mix. Big low end is the first thing we noticed on this board - the compressors and EQ made it thrive and made my kicks thump. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had it for a few weeks, but so far, smooth sailing. Boots in under 30 seconds and stays running flawlessly until you shut down. Overall Your general opinion of this product. For the price, you can't do better. For all the racks full of gear this replaces (all with very high quality - you'd spend the same amount on outboard compressors of lower quality) there is no better buy on the market. The fact it also acts an A/D D/A interface is a huge bonus - I can record and critique my work, as well as give the artist a high quality live album right after they finish the set!
So far, so great!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Seems solid. I have had some firewire issues, but this may be computer related. Don't want to blame the mixer quite yet. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? Flexibility. I think I've only scratched the surface so far. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? Once you grasp the concept of the fat channel, everything falls into place. The manual has a lot of helpful info, but it's not the easiest to navigate...no index. Sound How is its Tone? Sounds great, but I haven't really had a chance to try many different situations. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had it for a few weeks, so it's hard to say. Overall Your general opinion of this product. It's too new for me to have a strong opinion, but so far it's great.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It appears well-made and sturdy. Every function works as advertised. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? All the Gates, compressors,HPFilters and EQ on all 16 channels make it easy to get a clean,noise-free mix. The only feature I can see missing is a footswitchable bypass for effects. I do an on-stage mix,so I have to walk over and mute the effects between songs. Still, not that big of a deal. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? Very easy to use. It helped that I had read the manual bfore I purchased.I loaded some of the presets for my instrumentation as a starting point. In 10 minutes I had the mix set for 4 vocals,2 keyboard rigs,Bass,Guitar and Drums. Sound How is its Tone? I have a Onyx 1640 and this thing sounds just as good if not better. Reliability How has it stood up over time? We shall see Overall Your general opinion of this product. Best thing since the advent of MIDI
